While out running errands this afternoon, I decided to stop and get a couple slices, and a coke. While I'm sitting in a small mom and pop pizza shop in Jacksonville, FL, a black couple came in, I nodded my head and said "afternoon." They made eye contact with me, but wouldn't speak. A few minutes later, two black males came in, ordered, and sat across from me in a booth. I looked over and said "afternoon." Again, no answer. (And the black couple and these two guys weren't together.)
While I'm sitting there (the black couple in the booth in front of me), one of the two black males across from me literally turned his legs out in the aisle facing towards me, and stared at me. I looked over, and said "you all having a good vacation?" He said "no." I then said "good pizza here." He didn't answer.
I had my Glock 26 clipped (clip draw) in my waist band, and said to myself, this isn't looking good. I'm the ONLY white guy in here besides the people behind the counter running the place. I wiped the grease off my gun hand, and started eating with my left hand. I thought for a minute that my Glock may have been printing through my shirt, but it wasn't. None the less, I dropped my right arm down, and basically covered the pistol with my elbow.
While this guy's staring at me, I wanted to look over and ask "did you lose something over here?" But common sense got the better of me. I KNEW that had I even asked why are you staring me down, a confrontation would have started, and I CANNOT imagine the outcome if I would have had to use deadly force. After all, I'm white, and he's black. The patrons (would-be witnesses), were black... We all know Zimmerman was justified, but still his life was basically ruined... In America in 2013, I feel like I damned near can't protect myself with a gun if the attacker is black for fear of going to prison. What did I do? Simple. I had a slice left so I picked up the paper plate, my drink, and left. In martial arts, I know that the best fight is the one you don't have to fight. None the less, I was looking over my shoulder as I was going to my car.
What I want to know is what the fuck?!?!?!? I wasn't sitting there in a KKK outfit. I'm of Italian heritage, and look it. I acknowledged every black person who walked in with a nod and "afternoon."
All I could say to myself on the way home was "welcome to Jacksonville." The city here decided to take federal $ years ago, and integrate the hoods into regular/nice areas. There were once a few large hoods where people knew to stay away. Now, with the integration, you can be in Jax in a relatively nice, ordinary looking area, and a block down the road is a government housing mess. With that, there's absolutely NO WAY to know when or if you're in the bad part of town, and the bad part of town is spread all over the city. A FL Trooper's Wife told me recently that Jacksonville has surpassed Miami in murders and violent crime. Yes, guess who's behind 95% of the violent crime? Hint. It isn't white people. Instead of robbing stores, the blacks now walk in and murder the clerk, then take the $ and run. It's sick!
We've given blacks damned near everything we can possibly imagine. Job preference, money, free food, we treat them with kid gloves, we let them do damned near what they want, and let them run all over us. Just what is the solution to all of this? While I'm sitting there eating, I felt the hate from six feet away, and literally think the guy would have loved to kill me just for the fun of it...

I might have felt better asking, "did you lose something over here?" Lol! And yes, the pizza there is as good, if not better than many NY joints. I'm an Italian food junkie.
One is in a heavy tourist area, and basically safe. The other (where I was today), is in a nice area, but since there's a gubment housing mess behind the place, well... Bring your 1911. Lol!
