Getting filled on an uptick with IBKR

Hey everyone,

Today, there was an uptick rule placed on a stock.


I had a VWAP that was placed to sell x amount of shares. In addition to the VWAP,I had a limit order (placed below the bid), on Interactive Brokers, to sell the same stock. The VWAP was getting filled when the Limit order was not.


Does anyone know why the VWAP would take priority over a limit order?

I'd be guessing but your limit order placed below the bid would need to be price adjusted to the uptick and hence fall behind the book to the VWAP order.

Both were "SMART" Routed and the VWAP had a limit as well
