Getting down and dirty is where the rubber meets the road ...

dashed containers - faster fractals
black/red - trading fractals
magenta / blue - slower fractals

Several occasions where I was unsure whether or not I should be fanning the faster fractal rtl or drawing a Trading Fractal RTL (e.g. bars 30 to 34) or whether or not I had an accelerated slow RTL.

Having annotated a TF FTT at bar 54, we subsequently get a new FTT at bar 61 and also at bar 66. I can imagine this would cause some confusion in real time as to which FTT was the one to act upon. Fractal "jumping" is probably the problem but until I can recognize clearly and consistently which bars belong on which fractal, and why, I suspect that this will remain a problem.

Still confused about the practical application of clean page 1 and 4. I understand the principles of both but applying it in real time (or indeed at EOD) is another matter. Rubber not yet contacting road in a clear consistent unambiguous manner. A step-by-step "this is why" bar by bar analysis would help many I am sure. Meanwhile - onwards with a new day.

Hi David,

Thank you for posting your charts and sharing your journey here.

I hope you don't mind me jumping in here even though I am still new to Jack's methodology. Maybe other noobs like me can also learn from my mistakes.

For fanning, would it not depend on the fast fractals being formed as well as the gaussians that support them ? As for bars 30 - 33, it is a lateral formation with bar 34 a stitch long in a non dominant move of a long trading fractal. The gaussians are showing a nice decreasing black before hiking bar 34 gaussian up. The fanning is to show the trading fractal pt 3 which coincides with the trough being created. so the fanning will be done when pt 3 is being created in this case, right ? and not when every new bar is created on bars 31, 32 and 33.

I am still learning how to recognize the FTTs. Hopefully when I have done enough drills on annotating the charts I can see better. The way this thread is running, doing my best to catch up everyday :D .

ES 05/4 carry over, 3 fractals - gap adjusted chart

Hi David,

How do you do degapping on NT ? Is that just doing graphics cut and paste ? What I do is transpose the previous days channel based on the gap from 4:15 to 9:30.

Jack gave an example of how he fans across sequential internals here:

I agree, the net effect seems to be the same as fanning to the last internal but I suspect that it may not be as "simple" as that. I am still far from consistent/comfortable with my annotations.

I am using nkhoi's script NoGap_PrevDay with NT6. It does not work (yet) with NT7.
