Getting a lower sec nscc and those other fees lower

Quote from d138:

Nope, started on Wednesday. Trades that happened on Wed are cleared on 21st.

If you are going to be pedantic on the start date you need to specify that the SEC fee reduction on options starts 2 days after stocks.

The SEC itself says the actual start date depends on the SRO.

"Consult with your compliance office or the SRO charging the fee

We receive numerous inquiries from trading desks, back office operations, and computer programmers at individual firms concerning fee rates and whether the trade or settlement date would apply for certain types of transactions. As noted, the transaction fees paid by broker-dealers are being charged by individual SROs, not by the SEC, and the SRO should be consulted if a question arises. Your firm's compliance or legal office should be familiar with the transaction charge collection practices of the various SROs. If you have questions, you should speak with your compliance or legal department. You may also contact the SRO that is assessing the fee. To the extent that compliance or legal offices of firms have questions, those inquiries should also be directed to the appropriate SRO."

http://www.sec.gov/news/press/2011/2011-102.htm

Washington, D.C., May 2, 2011 – The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that, if a regular appropriation to the Commission for fiscal year 2012 is enacted on or before Oct. 1, 2011, the fees rates applicable to most securities transactions will decrease from $19.20 per million dollars to $15.10 per million dollars in fiscal year 2012. The new fee rates will go into effect on the later of Oct. 1, 2011 or 30 days after the appropriation is enacted. The assessment on security futures transactions will remain unchanged at $0.0042 for each round turn transaction.

Something doesn't sound right, the fee looks offf from the posts. What happen to $15.10?

Why are you looking at a 9 month old press release?

I posted the most recent one specifying the decrease from $19.20 per million dollars to $18.00 per million dollars.
