A lot of stuff I used to do no longer viable, but I think it's unfair to say there's no movement.

Plenty of stocks move, especially early in the day.

ES has been dead, but even there, hardly can say NO MOVEMENT.

I'd say your problem is something other than the movement.

How about no EASY PICKINGS.

If you could capture 10-20 cents on something a few times a day, you'd not be saying a thing. You'd be banking.

i'm not saying that it's impossible to make a money off it,but scrapping 10-20 cents-you need a huge size to make a living off it. and with huge size there is a great risks comes side to side. me. personally- i HATE leveraged products. maybe that's why i'm still alive?
to me,playing same game that i was playing for all those years-in this environment -it's simply not worth it. i can't increase the size because there is no volume and on top of that-the volatility\ranges are all time low. amount of trade\signals is still same(well maybe a bit lower) but PnL is total crap. on top of that IB's commissions aren't really 'user friendly'. like i said before-use to be-it was not uncommon to have a negative commish after entry\exit-but NO MORE. i don't know,what they where playing,it's not my business,but this is what i see-expenses are going up and profits are going down.
 
seriously, look at the movement in many of these names.

its not about that at all. its about you cant figure out wtf is going on.

you cant make $ trading that turd jcp from 14 to 12.50 ?
 
and if you got caught in that spike up you lost a months pay.

no 1 said it was easy. you want easy, get a civil service job.
 
JCP was acting like a train wreck before Bill Ackman starting talking on Friday, I saw the Bids absorb and bully up that stock from $12.40 to $13.00 quick. The H.F.T.S. were awesome and zigged my bid off at $12.75 and took my offer at $12.93 almost instantly.


The H.F.T.S. make sense, they might create a ruff ride for Market Makers and Boutique Firms trying to buy up shares to balance their books but they are helping us greatly!
 
i notice no one here ever gets buttfugged by the bots, they always make money.

the best traders in the world , right here on et. especially the ones that joined 5 minutes ago.
