Germany is up to their old Nazi tricks again!

Hey wildchild,if my side agreed to end abortions would you and your side agree to raise taxes to pay for every child in America to live above the poverty line with a minimum standard of housing, healthcare, nutrition and education?

Child poverty in the U.S. is among the worst in the developed world

The United States ranks near the bottom of the pack of wealthy nations on a measure of child poverty, according to a new report from UNICEF. Nearly one third of U.S. children live in households with an income below 60 percent of the national median income in 2008 - about $31,000 annually.

In the richest nation in the world, one in three kids live in poverty. Let that sink in.

The UNICEF report pegs the poverty definition to the 2008 median to account for the decline in income since then - incomes fell after the great recession, so measuring this way is an attempt to assess current poverty relative to how things stood before the downturn.

With 32.2 percent of children living below this line, the U.S. ranks 36th out of the 41 wealthy countries included in the UNICEF report. By contrast, only 5.3 percent of Norwegian kids currently meet this definition of poverty.

Maybe some people should demonstrate personal responsibility and not have children if they cannot afford them.

I will also note that many of the children in poverty in the U.S. are from single moms who never were married to the father (or fathers) - nor does a male adult live in the household.

The child poverty situation would get much better in the U.S. with a dose of personal responsibility. Don't have children out of wedlock. Don't have children if you can't afford them. If you get a women pregnant then marry her. These are traditional values of society.

This post would literally get you fired from GOOG. You are suggesteing one particular life style, which has been proven effective over millennia, is superior to other lifestyles, which we know for a fact promote poverty, crime and dependency.

The medicaid expansion under Obamacare was just a small part of the overall scam.
The federal gov't paid more at the beginning and then start paying less of the extra costs, hanging the states with the added costs.
The states that took the bait are wrecking their budgets.

It was just part of the hoax of it all being affordable. The states that didn't want to reek havoc with their budgets passed on the expansion, and then the army of online liberal trolls claim that republican governors are contemptible for not caring about the health care of the chillin.

The feds are still paying 90 % of the expansion.

Why try to prevent them from getting abortions if thats their situation? I agree irresponsible people should not have children and the option of abortion should be available to them yet republicans keep trying to force irresponsible pregnant women to have children they cant take care of.

I am actually pro-choice. I would urge women to consider alternatives to abortion if possible but I believe if you eliminate access to legal abortion then the entire abortion industry will just go underground again.

However allowing abortion to be legal does not fix the problem of single women deliberately having multiple babies simply for the purpose of collecting public benefits -- while not allowing a man to live in the household (which would cause the benefits to be eliminated).

We are actually on the same page than.My argument is with the pro lifers who want to force all women to give birth but don't care about children after they are born and as you say bring back the underground clothes hanger abortions.

I agree women need to be responsible but I know all women are not going to be.I also agree welfare programs need to let men stay in the home.

why do you and Democrats want to kill the unborn fetuses of irresponsible people?

I don't want to force them,I want them to have the option. In my personal opinion removing a fetus is more humane than making a child live like this.
