Germany... 96% of Omicron cases fully vaxxed. 4% non-vaxxed.

I'm not defending anyone or anything, I am simply relaying what is happening here. If I have time later I'll look up what you are referencing. I believe it is possible, but at least here that is not the case.
Why is that a lie? I am at the 6 month mark after my 2nd vaccination, and I have it, not hospitalized. My oldest has a fairly strong case of it, but feeling better after a week, but he is also a year since his 2nd shot. The wife got it also, she also was a year after her 2nd shot. She did get a booster, but tested positive and was sick 2 days after the booster so most likely she didn't have time to acquire protection. She also recovered quickly, which is great as she has a health issue which makes this crap potentially bad for her.

Why is it that I need to get a life? I am just stating what the situation is locally, and Germany maybe experiencing something different. I know the stats here are real and from the hospital, not some outside source. Other hospitals locally have reported the same stats and are reported to the state. What I don't know is which version of Covid the people have. The testing for variation goes to the state and the state doesn't report back to each institution which version an individual tested postive for. They do include them in the public release as a whole.

What you need to know is that this "information" as printed in the media is worthless by itself: "...majority of hospitalized are vaccinated... " Let it go in one ear and out the other. By itself it is useless. Ask yourself what purpose does it serve. Apply Piezoe's law, "everything should make sense." When you apply Piezoe's law to the statement as presented, you notice of course that the statement doesn't seem make much sense, so either it is correct but important information is missing, or it is incorrect. Either way, by itself, the statement is useless.

From the sample:
  • 186 unvaccinated cases
  • 2,883 double vaccinated cases
  • 1,137 triple vaccinated cases
  • 4,020 fully vaccinated cases
In Germany 70.53% are fully vaxxed, 2.97% are partially vaxxed and 26.5% unvaxxed.

So unvaxxed have 186 cases out of 26.5% of the population
Fully vaxxed have 4020 cases out of 70.53% of the population.

So the vaxxed Omicron case incidence is 57.0 per percent of population (830,000 is 1% of the 83 million German population)
And the unvaxxed Omicron case incidence is 7.02 per percent of population.

So the vaxxed are 57.0/7.02 = 8.12x more likely to be infected with Omicron than the unvaxxed in Germany.

Sir Chris Whitty Britain's chief scientific advisor, made an interesting remark regarding the Omicron variant. Asked whether it was dangerous given the South African experience, he said that it would be worse for the British as they have an older population and higher rate of vaccination.

Unfortunately it is looking as if what many experts predicted from the start is coming true: that the vaccines are causing ADE. I sincerely hope not but fear that is what could be happening....

Idiot. when dealing with percent, you have to know the size of either the numerator or the denominator as well as the quotient to make sense of a percent figure. What you need to know is the fraction of covid patients seriously ill with Omicron among the unvaccinated versus the fraction of fully vaccinated with a booster that are seriously ill with omicron. When you have that figure get back to us.
