OMG NYC Daily cases are doubling..............

At least 84 people were admitted to hospitals across the city as of June 3, the mayor said, up from 48 admissions reported the day before.

They know most people only read the headline.

According to this article Der Spiegel wrote against the author, not sure how likely the mainstream papers are to talk about this issue, but I suspect in the US serious right wing papers would be likely to pick it up if it s serious.
Any germans in the forum are welcome to add feedback.
Besides I m in the camp of the lockdowns have caused a lot of harm, so happy to relay this news.

Sadly people not at risk still scared still want to stay home, that and logic and common sense are lacking these days.

Sooner we spread it, sooner at risk can come out, hence my kiss everyone opposite sex policy.
 
No real lock down should last longer than 3 weeks, and most businesses should easily survive a 3 weeks break. Of course if the lock down is like what happened in the US (no enforcement, partial) than you need 2 months.

Societies will learn to live with an X number of death from COVID. It will be interesting to see countries with originally low number of deaths, when they get hit for the second time.

Yep give it a slow down while you ramp up hospital beds, uk started as 3 weeks maybe 3 more, added 1 week, then added another 3, just easing slowly but 12 weeks here.

Everyone is going to get to 0.1% area maybe 0.2% all the lockdown is doing is moving it back in time as huge cost.

No spikes anywhere yet, might be next flu season spreads better in less humidity i read, like flu why thats seasonal.

If we can get it again like a cold, then definitely just got to accept the deaths can't do this madness for ever.

Media hype going worst case to get more views has blown tbis into madness.
 
Uk West Midlands NHS Covid centre doing the reporting numbers not getting enough cases and just closed down, other areas aswell.

Why are we still in lockdown, not that many are paying attention to it for atleast the last 4 weeks.

I appreciate the report even though I am still in the other camp. It is important to be able to present and debate different views on ET.

Critical thinking and critical analysis is needed even if in the end it is incorrect. Too often we move like a herd without thinking.
