Covid in the US is a spectacle to behold but it's hard to care when so many Americans remain reckless and seemingly don't care about the grim consequences themselves. Just seems to be like gun violence as long as it's not their community or their family they pretend it's not real.

200 deaths in a day due to Covid in Florida is just another day in paradise according to some on here. I suspect the tipping point would be kids though. Wouldn't take many critically sick kids at all to shift public sentiment. Tragic all the way around in my perspective even an 80 year old might have 15 more really good years coming.

You think they cannot be made to not give a shit about even white kids in two weeks? Natural selection of future 'pre-existing' they will call it.

As long as it has not personally affected them, and made them feel bad they can't understand it.

nah, kids won't be the tipping point. For reference, look at Sandy Hook & Douglas HS massacres and toddler prisons at the border
