Georgia's reopening is a high-stakes public health bet -- and will likely please Trump

The quickly rising death count...
Brazil Counts Almost Twice As Many Daily Covid-19 Deaths As The U.S.

The poor leadership...
Brazil’s Bolsonaro could soon be toppled, analysts say, as coronavirus cases surge

The leadership wasn't what you asked me about. Stop always trying to move the goal posts.

We were discussing data and the comparison between locking down and not. You then asked me about Brazil and my thoughts. I gave them to you - Brazil is nowhere near the death per 1M pop that other countries that did the lock down are.

If you want to now change the conversation to discuss Brazil's politicians, I suspect we will find much more common ground. But make no mistake, the numbers on Covid don't support the comment of comparing Brazil's numbers to other countries that locked down their citizens.

Your attempt to show that the death count is quickly rising might eventually mean they overtake these other countries, but that is just a supposition (one of many) that you are making around here. It may eventually come true, it may not. If it does, I will gladly acknowledge it.

If it does not, will you?

So in summary, I can only assume that you support Brazil's policy of no lockdown and having everyone wander about. Even if it leads to a tremendous death toll and overwhelmed hospitals in your major cities.

Note the COVID-19 breakout in Brazil timeline is weeks behind other countries that had the higher per capita number of deaths. It is just a matter of short time until Brazil catches up based on the rising figures.

The possible toppling of the leader is just an added note.... and a warning to other world leaders who implement poor public health policies.

You can. I support ANY country that does not lock down its citizenry and economy for the sake of containing a virus whose impact has been vastly overstated. This is because I believe the resulting lock down is far worse for lives and economic livelihood than the lock down actually saves. So yes. This does not mean I support and/or like Brazilian politicians.

Ah, this again. Well you've been so wrong on your other predictions you'll excuse me if I show skepticism here as well. But you may be right. Even if you are, I don't believe the lockdown is worth it.

The possible toppling of the leader is just an added note.... and a warning to other world leaders who implement poor public health policies.

Ah, I see. The Swedes should be ready to revolt against their leaders any day now, is that it? There can't be any other reason why citizens of Brazil don't like their leaders. Has to be just this one reason.

As clearly noted on the website, the figures are not final until 14 days after they are posted. They are revised and increased every day. The Georgia DPH had to place the following warning on the website to avoid legal action after the media called them out for fake data shenanigans .

"14-day window – Confirmed cases over the last 14 days may not be accounted for due to illnesses yet to be reported or test results may still be pending".

I took down the number from today as of 5pm EDT . 14 days from now we are going to take a look at the numbers and see the increases. All the Georgia DPH postings with deliberately delayed data are a scam to drive Governor Kemp's political agenda to "re-open" by creating a false impression that the trend is down.

Here are the numbers from today:

Deaths:
May 26 - 0
May 25 - 0
May 24 - 2
May 23 - 2
May 22 - 3
May 21 - 9
May 20 - 13
May 19 - 13
May 18 - 22
May 17 - 12
May 16 - 18
May 15 - 18
May 14 - 25
May 13 - 22
May 12 - 24

Cases
May 26 - 17
May 25 - 27
May 24 - 110
May 23 - 139
May 22 - 392
May 21 - 450
May 20 - 571
May 19 - 731
May 18 - 965
May 17 - 328
May 16 - 433
May 15 - 817
May 14 - 771
May 13 - 752
May 12 - 669

Here are the charts from today:

Let's take a look at the adjustment of the Georgia DPH data for the dates in the past now that more than two weeks have passed. At this point it is obvious that the trend during the May 12th to May 26th date range for cases was up rather than down. This is the result of the state of Georgia deliberately delaying and manipulating data to support the governor's re-open agenda. It is terrible that the state is feeding fake COVID-19 data to its residents due to politics.

Deaths (Date - old -> new)
May 26 - 0 -> 25
May 25 - 0 -> 32
May 24 - 2 -> 20
May 23 - 2 -> 25
May 22 - 3 -> 27
May 21 - 9 -> 23
May 20 - 13 -> 23
May 19 - 13 -> 24
May 18 - 22 -> 29
May 17 - 12 ->23
May 16 - 18 -> 22
May 15 - 18 -> 31
May 14 - 25 -> 30
May 13 - 22 -> 33
May 12 - 24 -> 33

Cases (Date - old -> new)
May 26 - 17 -> 931
May 25 - 27 -> 398
May 24 - 110 -> 355
May 23 - 139 -> 479
May 22 - 392 -> 665
May 21 - 450 -> 692
May 20 - 571 -> 685
May 19 - 731 -> 753
May 18 - 965 -> 880
May 17 - 328 -> 400
May 16 - 433 -> 489
May 15 - 817 -> 841
May 14 - 771 -> 802
May 13 - 752 -> 735
May 12 - 669 -> 676

We don't have to wait 14 days... Lets go back over 30 days to around April 21st. Compare the Deaths back then to now or 14 days ago.

Its when you fear and doomed this thread into existence...

its a great read... doom and fear and irresponsible and fauci and wagering lives....

I particularly like the quotes you had from Abrams, the other democrat.... and GWB'S dvisor... (the real GWB)

You and your team were just so full of shit... Just destroying lives instead of seeking a balanced approach.

See the post directly above showing the manipulation of data in Georgia.

hey moron doomer...

What the hell is wrong with you?
Calling me out.. when you were wrong based on the chart I told you to look at in late May. The trend in daily deaths was clearly down then an it has continued as low as it can go. (and I know it could be updated as it was for the chart back then.)
It can only go up from here.

go look at the updated deaths per day data...

Deaths are now even lower...
Its either 1 per day or zero (which of course could be updated.)

You are fucking crazy with doom.

The trend is clearly up for Cases for this time period in May
when Georgia publishes its deliberately delayed data. Obviously the deaths are flat rather than down for the time period in May.

Obviously Georgia Governor Kemp's administration is pushing fake data on a state website to drive his "re-open" political agenda. This is unforgivable -- for cases the counties in the state have case data in under 48 hours... re-adjusting case data weeks later is absurd and obviously politically driven. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is able to publish correct state data taken county reports in under a day on their website -- clearly the state's failure to do so is willful negligence driven by politics.
