I'm not trying to impugn anyone. All I'm saying is that both Republicans and Democrats are slaves of the same machine. Pretending one side of the same coin is benevolent and wants nothing more than the people's best interest is incredibly naïve. The sooner we realize that the sooner we start to fix real problems.

I tend to agree, both parties are beholden to the donor class. But dems do get more money from small donations, and they are more distributive than reps. It's not enough, but it is better for the working man. The working man who's not single-issue fixated on race, or abortion, that is.

In terms of execution Democrats can only dream of doing what Bush /Mitch/ Trump did imo.Even with Obama,The house and 60 Dem Senators the best health bill Dems could pass was Mitt Romney's

Three points to make about Georgia:

1. Ossoff (if he holds on and he most likely will) is just a great example of determination and perseverance. He’s a young guy in a red state 3 years ago that said I’m going to fight an uphill battle and did not stop. I respect that.

2. Stacy Abrams is a force to be reckoned with. She could have run for other offices, even Vice President but stayed in Georgia and delivered not only a presidential victory but two senate seats. Her influence in Georgia is probably the largest of any one person in any state.

3. Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter are alive to see Georgia turn blue. That’s just nice.

Abrams is going after Kemp in the next Gov election.She would probably win on her own but Trump will have turned many GA republicans against Kemp making it much easier for her.

Uh, no. Government is imperfect and politicians even more so. Where Democrats actually have an advantage over republicans is they know how to run a government. They are full of actual policy wonks and experts. Where as republicans are anti government so they don’t actually put in the work or have the expertise to be successful at running a government.

Does this mean every democrat administration is better than every republican, no. But it does mean that democrats are more likely to not fuck it up, as you have been living through and experiencing.

Riiight. As we have been living through and experiencing in the era of Trump. I see.

Well, the next two years will certainly have ample cause for you to tell me how right you are. Or for me to show you how wrong you are. I hope you win it, I really do.
