Georgia, we ain't dumb

This should be great. Democrats should be able to do whatever it is they want, without Republican interference. No more "we couldn't do it because the Party of No got in the way". The next two years are owned by the Democrats. All good, all bad, is from them. Let us hope it is more good than bad.

I'm sure if it isn't, we will hear a plethora of excuses as to why.
SCOTUS isn't dem, so they can block everything even if passed thru; otherwise agreed.

big mistake passing anything that can be legally challenged then. For reference look at how Obamacare and voter rights act have been gutted

This is the country we live in. No changing it. Democrats allowed republicans to chip away at the judiciary for a decade and it never resonated with democrat voters. So, yes, democrats are slightly hobbled from a policy side of things but SCOTUS will more influence your personal freedoms and protections than anything else. Think more religious imposition, less worker protections, more money in politics, and believe it or not more executive (presidential) authority and power.

so pack the court?

I don’t know if it will be great but it will give us as a country a much better fighting chance to recover and restore some semblance of justice and rebuild alliances. Assuming Ossoff holds on, of course.

We shall see. It will be interesting to see what happens. The last time Dems had everything, we got Obamacare - not sure that worked out so well. Other than that, what else did we get back then? I honestly do not recall.

One thing I'll say is I'm going heavy in inflationary trades (shorting the 10yr, long commodities, TIPS and ....*gasp* even crypto). The dollar is toast.

we'll see if he falls in line and flips on the filibuster and packing the court.
He said he wouldnt do either when asked but he did not rule out DC and PR statehood. That should be Dems first priority imoThis Senate lead is slim and wont last long.Dems lose VA forever once Manchin retires and he might not win in 2024.

No. Eat your peas.
I'm just saying, you spelled out the problems to SCOTUS so why oppose the solution? So what if every president packs w/control of both houses from here on out, beats having lifetime appointments that'll vote one way only. A larger court favors dems anyway.

Obama's first mistake was willing to "cross the aisle" and "seeking compromise". He became rather lame duck after losing congress. You would think Biden learned from that mistake, but here he is w/the same spiel.

PR doesn't want statehood. they voted it down the last time, and - after living there for several years (though it was a while ago) I can't imagine that has changed all that much.
