George Zimmerman: Media Whore

Quote from Max E. Pad:

Either you are describing the absolute best case scenario or shinglers in texas make more than accountants.
Max, that's common. At least until the accountant has a more senior position with a big company or has their own well established business.

Quote from Lucrum:

The money thing again? I already told you I'm not betting. I WILL meet you for your silly IQ test challenge though. Provided you answer the two simple questions you've been dodging for weeks and go to a boxing gym with me afterward.

What's money even have to do with it?
The betting is just a dodge by brokenarrow. If he makes the ridiculous demand for a bet then he knows he won't have to go through with taking a test because no reasonable person is going to do something crazy like that.

BA is no smarter than my mail box. :D

In the scenario you just gve you said you would pay them 1650 for a job that would take 3 guys 1 day, and 300 of dump fees.

So 1650-300 = 1350 - 50 for gas = 1300

1300 /3 = 433 per person for one day, you just gave your guys an 8 dollar an hour raise from the scenario you previously described which where guys make 350 per day.

Supposedly these guys who are subcontracted from you are making six figures pounding shingles, and you are still able to skim money off the top, dude do you not understand how unrealistic these numbers are?

I have a feeling the numbers you have given us are the absolute max, where you quote a person high cause its not a job you need, and not a job you wanna do.

Damn you're dense sometimes. The work is seasonal and sometimes it's a long dry spell between storms so no the average worker does not make what an accountant does, but the head subcontractor guy can and I know many who do very well. I do not pay by the hour so there never is an hourly raise. I don't pay the men I pay the sub and he pays his men. That isn't a best case scenario my per square labor is the same, if I have to get tight to sell a job it's my P&O that takes the hit. I do not "skim" money I work in a very competitive field, if my prices are too high I won't sell any jobs, it's the free market baby. And if you'd pull your head out you'd realize the subs have some business expenses. Gas, upkeep, trailers and dump trucks. They also have traveling expenses when the work is out of town but those storms will pay a little better to offset some of the motel expenses. That's it for me on this subject, we've both talked about this more than we should have.

I used both dump fees and gas in the example i provided, bottom line, it is you who has no understanding of the numbers.

Surely you must understand that you were presenting the best case scenario, other wise your numbers dont work.

Exactly what I was thinking.
