George Stephanopolous: The Deficit rises by Trump cutting subsidies to insurance companies.

The Deficit rises as a result of Trump cutting subsidies to insurance companies. :D

LOL, this is how you end up 20 trillion in the hole, not even going to encourage anyone to watch his dogshit show, but this was one of the funniest pieces of propaganda ive ever seen. Im sure someone else saw it, it will be on youtube eventually.

The WashPost is full of articles "explaining" how the tax credits to lower income obamacare users will go up. Something tells me it is not that simple. Otherwise insurance company stocks would not have reacted as they did.

Even if true, I don't see how ending an illegal policy of funneling money to insurance companies as a payoff for participating in obamacare is a bad thing.

Cant wait to see Nancy Pelosi railing away on T.V. about how we need to continue to subsidise insurance companies, thats a winner all the way. I dont think anyone on either side looks at them as anything more than a leech on the system, But this should be a winner all the way to democrats, "We are the party of handing out free money to insurance companies, the more we give them the more the deficit drops." :D

The democrats and media are pushing two mutually inconsistent arguments. Initially, they charged that Trump was cutting subsidies to "poor people." Now it is that he is running up the deficit because the "poor people" will get subsidized anyway. Somehow paying them from the right pocket instead of the left is supposed to run up the deficit.

So magically democrats and the media are now concerned about the deficit after Obama ran it up more than all over presidents combined.

And these "poor people" can apparently make up to $90+k a year for a family of four and still get subsidies.

The dems all think that this further chaos around crockcare will accrue to the benefit of democrats because it makes a good issue to run against.

Wrongo. It accrues to the benefit of an independent named Bernie Sanders who may disguise himself as a democrat when it helps him but otherwise hates the dnc more than the republicans do. This is his last hurrah in politics and unlike Hillary he is still out there campaigning hard every day even though it is not an election year. He knows he is never going to be President but he also knows that he has a reasonably good chance of being the "father" of single payer health care is within his reach. He is and will continue to run hard against the democrats on this issue and he is actually having considerable success. The number of dems signing on for single payer is growing rather fast- not diminishing.

Keep in mind that the dems came out of the last election concluding that they needed to move toward the center rather just tacking on progressive issue after progressive issue while watching two traditional voters drop out for every new one they brought in. Problem is, Bernie has them agreeing to get in the bus and go further and further to the left. The problems with the pubs are well discussed but don't let anyone kid you. The dems are effed up beyond repair and it is getting worse by the day. They are stuck on stupid, unable to even agree on what just happened, let along map out a plan for the future and the four or five possible nominees that come to mind make you laugh your arse off.

George Snuffleupagus should be required to disclose his financial ties to the Clintons and other prominent democrats. If a member of the financial press were to report 'news' and not disclose who was buttering their bread, they would be in jail.

Indeed. Let us not forget that we have already had one serious go-around with George Staphylococcus on this very issue- failing to disclose conflict until someone else ferreted it out.

This little episode was definitely unpretty.
