George Soros - he can has cheeseburger

Quote from Ghost of Cutten:

Soros is just a centre-left paternalist utilitarian, who doesn't understand rights-based small government American culture. He is not some kind of evil bogeyman, he's just a rich Democrat. Some of his rabid critics need to remember that he spent millions fighting communism in the 80s, sending money to dissidents and underground movements behind the iron curtain, while so-called cold warrior "patriots" from the US right-wing were doing shady deals with Ayatollahs, training Latin American dictatorships and secret police death squads how to torture nuns and homeless people, and funding Bin Laden and terrorist Jihadis, then running scared as soon as a couple of hundred marines get blown up. He also spent millions saving lives with non-partisan humanitarian aid during the wars in Yugoslavia in the 90s.

Most Soros critics are cowardly uninformed morons who never lifted a finger to fight evil or save lives. It is a sign of gross stupidity to be unable to differentiate between a reasonable person with mistaken views, and a genuine bad guy.

If Mother Theresa would have been a serial killer she wouldn't have gotten a pass for her good deeds.

Some Soros critics are intelligent informed individuals who aren't apathetic in their actions toward their community or nation. It is a sign of narrow mindedness to assume everyone is unable to differentiate between a reasonable person with mistaken views, and a genuine bad guy. One can appreciate what Soros has done in the past and it was those earlier actions that made me a fan. It is the current path he is traveling down that has me thinking he has lost his friggin mind and has to be stopped.

Quote from Gabfly1:

You mean the conversation about Soros? That was mighty big of you. Sorry to disappoint. As for that other topic, isn't it outrageous that anyone other than Americans have an opinion regarding American politics? Personally, I find it shocking. And on a US-based web site at that, by a Canadian who trades only US markets. Some people have no shame.

Considering your residency as secondary, your unfamiliarity with current Soros activities here in the United States of America and your refusal to validate your own skewed position on him makes your opinions irrelevant.

Quote from reg:

Here's a perfect example of queer, quirky stupidity:
How convenient that, whenever you bring it up, you always forget to make any reference to the post I was responding to, specifically a crass and irrelevant sexually derogatory remark. Funny how that always happens, eh reg? Just like when Index Piker wrote that he'd like to see the president assassinated and I called his sentiment treasonous, and Trader666 has been hounding me ever since, months later, telling me I don't know what treason is. However, with no further reference to Index Piker's outrageously repugnant remark that precipitated the exchange. Can you see the similarity between your conduct and that of Trader 666? Can you, reg?

Good post. Except for the "mistaken views" part, of course. :)

What marvelous pomp. Even so, I suggest you read Cutten's post again.

...From this point on, if you want require a response from me...
No, thank you. I do believe I've had quite enough of you for one lifetime.
