He has some kind of more serious scenario brewing in the background that will take some time to unravel but will not be pretty when it is.
Allegedly, he lent his campaign 700k except he had no visible income in recent history- despite all the bloviating- that would support that kind of transaction.
It is not necessarily illegal to lie through your arse in a campaign regardless of how ridiculous it is. But lying on campaign finance forms is a federal crime so that is where he is vulnerable.
