George Fontanills

Quote from danshirley:

Fontanills was a fake. A used car saleman. A fast talking, back slapping pocket picking BORE. He is the embodiment of the charlitan who can't make any money trading so decides to sell seminars/books/newsletters to teach others to do what he can't.

The fact that he's dead doesn't change that.

I attended a 'free' optionetics seminar years ago which, of course, turned out to be an Optionetics sales marathon.

I got so pissed at the pressure that I told one guy to f*ck off or I'd clobber him. I guess he really needed his commission. He didn't get it from me.

From what I could see they simply packaged information that is freely available from many a book or now free on the internet and hyped it to death.
e.g.:
http://www.optionseducation.org/strategies_advanced_concepts/strategies/covered_call.html

Yes, his original ~ $295 Optionetics course from the mid 1990s was nothing but a rehash of basic options strategies that now can be found for free online, or in a $19 options book. I did subsequently receive invitations to attend free seminars, but I never went.

FB page is gone.. so how did he die? Did a Condor bite his head off?

Nah seriously.. I downloaded the optionetics series several years ago and while it was definitely just rehashed basics for lazy ass people, George and the other guy were pretty funny and did well keeping things from getting boring.

Incidentally.. what was the "secret" trade that only optionetics platinum/advanced or whatever members would get to know?? Think someone told me years ago but I forgot.. BWB or similar?

Here's an opportunity to see George as he was without shelling out a couple grand:

What did he die of?

Well if you look at him you can guess.

Oh yeah, remember seeing that video years ago.. listened to the tapes before then.. yeah he was pretty huge. Guess he should of stuck with high intensity day trading instead of sitting on the couch trading leaps and condors.

Anyway RIP, dude.

"My beloved brother George passed away from cardiopulmonary problems yesterday while on a business trip to Singapore. He was 52 . George will be greatly missed by his family and friends. I love you, George." [/B]

Well I'm a retard, totally missed the quote in bold.. why do I always ignore stuff written in bold..hehe.. RIP George.

... I started to get non-stop phone calls from 'Gutter Guardian' wanting to install screens on my gutters. I told one of them if they keep calling me I'm going to send them a bomb in the mail.

Thanks for mentionning efficient and effective methods. :)
