I will say it is quite difficult to transition back to civilian life after war for most. And when back home, it takes at least six months to even feel like you're home. Nothing easy about it...

It's one group that's entitled to full exemption from federal and state income taxes while on active duty, regardless if they serve in a designated combat zone or not.
