George Bush: In Support Of The 1 Percenters

Just curious, but did you read the OP?

No, couldn't. Had him on ignore... perhaps I presume wrongly. Nevertheless, my comment about the 1% represents my view.

BTW... my "ignore list" isn't all THAT extensive... it's still <300.

In case you're wondering... who gets put on my ignore list?
1. Those who support Leftist, Communist, Anti-US Constitution values.. which includes all Odumbo supporters, of course.
2. Those who say things which are SO STUPID... no thinking person would consider anything else they have to spew. IOW... in spite of the 1st Amendment, nobody is obliged to suffer fools gladly.

:D

James doesn't fall under 1 and 2. Perhaps you guys had a misunderstanding.

The 1%ers that is in the article is the military. Those who defend the country are the 1%ers, defending the 99% of the rest of the country.

Good thing we have "1%-ers". Otherwise we'd be Venezuela or Cuba.

Instead of bitching about the 1%, people should strive to become part of the 1% themselves. And if they can't do that, then becoming part of the 5% or even 10% is not all bad.

Whining, "It's not fair, somebody has more then me... wah, wah, wah" is just small and childish.

You do understand how percentages work don't you?

Maybe appropriate I take him off my ignore list... I've jumped to wrong conclusions before..

"... Bush said veterans are the one percent of the population others should wholeheartedly support.

"They are the 1 percent of Americans that kept the 99 percent safe," Bush said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "We owe them and their families a deep debt of gratitude."

It's too bad we don't have mandatory military service like many countries. Military service, in-combat or not, gives a citizen a different perspective on one's feeling about the homeland.
