George Bush, GOP Turn to Socialism

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

So he is pro life? He's never made a secret of that. What could he know, he only delivered 4000 babies? And he opposes the Supreme Court inventing constitutional rights out of thin air? That is pretty much the gist of most of those bills he sponsored. He has this quaint notion that voters, not unelected judges, are the primary decisionmakers in a democracy?

As the writer also said, he is not a friend of "progressive" causes. One he is against is the International Criminal Court. The article points out Paul's position would make it impossible for the ICC to prosecute American soldiers for "war crimes." I'm confident most voters agree with paul on this and most other issues.

I sure as hell agree with his views.

He is as close to The Framers as we're ever gonna see.

Quote from increasenow:

GW Bush = Hero for last 8 years

LOL; I wouldn't call him a hero, granted that he made my oil and defensive stocks rocketing, but he is far from a hero.

those firefighters went into that 2 burning buildings are heroes.

Quote from clacy:

You're damn right. Super Tuesday is right around the corner. Not that it will matter much as Ron has no chance of winning. Unfortunately, most Americans have no time for reality or the "tough medicine" that is going to have to be swallowed if we are to have any chance of surviving as a nation over the long term.

Couldn't agree more. Most Americans are complete idiots now a days. More interested in Brittney Spears, American Idol or Brad Pitt than anything that affects them. After living abroad for so long, I've either come home to a land of idiots, or realized that I was once an idiot who was simply enlightened.

That is what the government wants, a land full of idiots, working their asses off, paying their taxes, racking up debt to keep up with the Joneses, and then have to work even more hours to pay all their bills, only to end up paying more in taxes. Banks earn the interest from all the debt, so they're happy as well.

Yep. That's why I'm doing my best to plan my escape from this once-great country.

The intent of the founding fathers has been absolutely and permanently decimated by an all powerful, Orwellian-like central government.

Now that the people have been effectively turned into sheeple, there's no hope. The masses are indentured servants, and so shall their children be, from cradle to grave.

Quote from Allen3:

Who can you stand to vote for over there?:)

JIM

So far no one, but the general election is open. I was leaning toward McCain, but he has "issues" too. Don't know too much about Romney. Howard Hughes hired Mormons because he felt they could be trusted.
