George Allen: You Have Not Earned the Right

In social settings I have been arguing for exactly what RM is saying.

I am not sure I will have the guts to allows demorcrats to mess us up -- even more -- for a few years,

We can no longer say we are afraid of big brother type govt suberting our rights.

I think lobbying and cash is the root of all that evil on the hill.

We need serious campaign finance reform.
 
Free speech is now dead in american and Canada too. You can't say anything without the religious extremists being all over you (M J Fox for example).

And the quickest way to lose your job is to question whether Israel destroying civillian areas using advanced WMD to respond to a mere kidnapping is a war crime. We have lost the right to ask that question.

You are a religious extremist if you value the life of an unborn child or if you think perhaps cloning could be wrong.

Yes it is extreme if wish to hunt (i dont hunt by the way) and kill an animal but you are a religious extrmist if you wish to protect life.
 
I think some voters are in for a surprise once the election is over. There are about a dozen Dems running as conservative or "Blue Dog" Democrats. I think these have a good chance of being elected, after all they are middle of the road, fiscally coservative and socially moderate-liberal. Now imagine how the people that voted for them will feel once they see the likes of Pelosi, a radical left coast ilberal, and Charlie Rangle running things. I think a lot of those that vote for the Blue Dog Dems will feel much like the conservatives that voted for the current crop of assholes in Congress. People vote locally, but collectively (nationally?) their votes will result in an outcome none of them would probably envision or care for.

This is a great point. I think the Republicans have made an enormous mistake not to play this up more in their ads. The Democrats have a stealth strategy of running candidates who appear fairly normal, but once elected they will vote with Nancy Pelosi and Ted Kennedy. John Edwards was a perfect example.

First, as a disappointed, conservative minded person, I say go Blue Dogs! Everything in moderation. God bless.

Second, I'm not a betting man, but I'd be willing to bet that Nancy Peloci is going to do well on the important issues of the day. And even positively surprise conservatives.

Naturally, with all bastard politicians, I'll mostly be watching if she'll be in contempt of the vast corporate influence in Washington... or not. If reforms will actually be enacted... or not.

At least USMC is not as stupid as George Allen or his supporters are. My advice: Read the books before you burn them.
