Ok, I know there are that many F1 fans on this forum, but for those that are there I've got a question.
(as an aside to the following, I am a fan of McLaren and also have been of fan of Alonso as he battled with Michael the last few years)
For the life of me I can't figure out how the heck Alonso wasn't disqualified from the driver's championship.
During the initial FIA investigation it was determined that inside McLaren, only Coughlin had access to the Ferrari information. Then Ron learns the details from Alonso, does the right thing, calls Max and says "Alonso and Pedro had and utilized the information". (yes, it's a bit more complicated than that, but I only have so much time).
In response to the above, McLaren is out of the constructor's championship, but Alonso is still in the hunt. How is it that the ONE driver that broke the rules by actually USING the information is still allowed to compete?
I just don't get it.
