Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!!

does Kenseth wear a rug? or hair plugs??

anyway, very disappointing end....Gordon needed at least 8 more laps to make it close. Are you huys over this whole jeff Burton on the pole thing? didn't he learn anything from Ryan Newman's pole runs last year? LOL

Wrong Burton. Nobody much cares what Jeff (#31) says or does. The networks use him for 'safety related' quotes and interviews due to his ability to provide interesting commentary. I for one await brother Ward's return to the Cup Series.

I've wondered the same thing. I think so. I first noticed it after he won the championship. Between his appearance at the end of that season and the awards cermony in NYC, there was quite a noticeable difference in fullness and color.

There are some other rug wearers too. I remember someone gettin' dis'd, but I can't remember who it was. Driver - driver argument...

Hmmm, I'm thinkin' it was about Stirling Marlin.

Gordon was quite happy with a second. The top four or five guys were just cruising to the end. Get the points and solidify their hold on their Chase slots. Not worth it to risk wrecking to gain a spot or two. That's why NASCAR is so boring, that and the fact that the Michigan track is as wide as an airport.

As for Jeff Burton, the guy's having a great season. His making the Chase will be even more a surprise than Harwick. Got to hand it to the RCR boys, they turned it around this year. DEI is now bringing up the rear for the big bucks Chevy teams.

The medical condition to which you refer, not only causes his arms to shrink, but also, creates a rather strange pattern of baldness on the front of Mayfield's head.

Now Jeremy "Sour Grapes" Mayfield is claiming team owner Ray Evernham's "relationship" with developmental driver Erin Crocker "wrecked" his team. http://www.nascar.com/2006/news/headlines/cup/08/20/esadler.jmayfield.evernham.dodge/index.html

Two questions? Why didn't it "wreck" Kasey Kahne's team as well? The 9 has run strong all year. And it sure didn't seem to wreck Elliot Sadler who brought the formerly tail end 19 car home in tenth place at MIR.

Mayfield and his wife must have been grinding their teeth over Sadler's performance.
