Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!!

Congrats on another win, Spyder. Kenseth didn't seem to happy afterwards! I don't believe the hit was intentional... it looked like Kenseth slowed down in the turn. I could be wrong though.

Thanks! No, Kenseth did not appear too happy. Intentional or not, dropping down to block the #24 three times doesn't bode well for anyone - let alone the guy who gave Gordon the boot at Bristol. When the driver of the Dupont Chevy smells a win with 5 laps remaining in the race (especially on a track where he had never won previously), and has the car to challenge for the lead, these things happen. Last year Gordon gave notice, "Race me clean, and I'll return the favor. Beat, Bang and move me out of the way, and expect me to race you the same way." Evidently, Kenseth now understands a thing or two about paybacks.

Jeff's a douchebag and could have completed a clean pass on Kenseth. JG was killing him.

He CHOSE to drive through him and it was unnecessary for him to do so. He's on probation and should have been parked a lap for rough driving if nascrap had the balls to apply the rules consistenly.

That was the last race I'll watch of nascrap.
 
I watched with my neighbor who had Kenseth at both 7-1 to win and Kenseth even up on a "field bet" against three other drivers. To say my neighbor went ballistic (and he's a mild mannered guy) is an understatement.
 
I've been watching Jeff Gordon race for a long time, long enough to know that unless the car in front of him is sideways, smoking, and spewing water, Jeff Gordon doesn't get into ya unless he wants to. And that's the thing about paybacks, they don't come at the best time possible but the worst. Jeff was strong there at the finish, no way Matt had a chance, clean or not. Back in the Chase baby!!:D

Unless of course Kenseth checked up due to running out of fuel. From such a standpoint, Gordon actually did Kenseth a favor. Since Kenseth ran out of fuel under caution had Jeff passed Matt clean, Kenseth would have finished far worse than he did. Unless Matt wants to hand back the points and extra cash he earned by the results, Kenseth should stop complaining. Matt ended up far better off.

I don't recall any outrage on your part when Kenseth did the exact same thing to Gordon at Bristol a few months back.

Gordon received probation for shoving Kenseth after the Bristol Race. Why did Jeff shove Matt again? Oh yes, Matt wrecked him in the same fashion you now find unacceptable.

I understand your neighbor's frustration. I felt the same way after watching the Bristol Race when Kenseth gave Gordon the bumper. I no longer feel so badly after today. :D

I loved every minute of it - especially listening to Benny and Wally blab on about how Gordon had 'no chance' of catching Matt within 12 laps. You were right guys. Jeff caught Matt in 8. :D

Today's win marked the 75th victory of Jeff Gordon's Career - placing him one win behind the late Dale Earnhardt on the list of most all-time wins. In addition, today's victory marked Jeff's first win at Chicagoland - leaving only three remaining tracks where Gordon has yet to finish first. (Texas, Phoenix and Homestead).
