I always liked Ward because when he talks he reminds of one of my favorite childhood cartoon characters, Hillbilly Bear
even AFTER the enunciation lessons!
I think having to worry about how he spoke broke his driving concentration, it was shortly after the lessons that he lost his ride. Hopefully, in his comeback he will be the good ol' mumbly and completely unintelligible, but competitive, Ward.
