Genesis Sec. must get their act together

They do 1-2% of NASDAQ vol per day. NASDAQ volume is about 1.8 Billions shares per day. That means that Genesis does about 20 million shares per day. (ONLY ON NASDAQ)

Including NYSE and AMEX, I think there are more then 30 million shares per day.

Thus is why I use Genesis...

is that a response to the orginal question or a paid advertisement:)

Quote from NJ1000:

I currently trade for an llc of genesis sec. and do not understand the incomptence of their trade support area. Today the s&p futures were wrong all day I reported it to them and nothing was done. Also for the last few weeks I have been telling them we should be allowed to use size ands soes in the pre market, to this day I still cannot do this before 9:30 on Genesis software. The risers and fallers page is still not working something i called on when I stared working there a month ago. I am a NASDAQ day trader and these things are essentially to my sucess. I came from e-trade and although they were not great I always got answers to my problems and never had the problems I have had here, is any one else experiencing problems with them I mean I currently have a real good deal but these ongoing issues are nullifying the savings in commissions i get from them. I wonder if the saying you get what you pay for is true in this case.

Futures were working fine yesterday. Did you use the correct symbol? We are in September now. /NQ5U and /ND5U

Serge, is this comment from NJ1000 true?

>...i don't know if you heard but they closed down
>their prop division and only have retail guys
>there now.

Thanks
JB

It's true I've been burned on occasion by something that is a result of Genesis' growing pains. But I am helped by low commissions and fast execution EVERY DAY. Growing pains go away once the company grows out of them. Low commissions and fast executions stick around.

Don't get me wrong, I've been royally pissed off sometimes, and I've complained to Serge and his crew like crazy before, and that's how they know how to keep on building a better company.

I think Genesis' act is pretty together. Mistakes and growing pains just mean that I'm in on the ground floor of an up-and-comer to watch.

Hi JB,

I believe this is in reference to E*Trade Pro.

E*Trade Pro did shut down their prop division.

Genesis, however, has no intention of shutting down its prop division.

Ahhhh... yes Serge. My bad. Thanks for the clarification.
