Genesis Q&A

Quote from marketsurfer:

looks like a good deal. what is the minimum capital contribution for your prop traders ? on a side note, on first glance, your logo looks like the old soviet sicle and hammer flag. perhaps you should talk to your design team ?? or is that just my twisted mind ? LOL !

surfer :)

:) I can see the resemblance lol - but that's our logo for 5 years now - we are sticking by it. The actual hammer and sickle is backwards and it intersects, by the way.

Minimum cap contribution is 5k for the prop accounts
30k for a retail day-trading account (PDT)

Serge,

I think SEC Fee is $23.40 not $39.00 per million.
http://www.sec.gov/news/press/2004-24.htm

Your site lists Nasdaq Level II Data Fee of $10 and NYSE/AMEX Data Fee of $1.

I already have Nasdaq Level II and don't wish to subscribe to it again. Can I pay $1 for Nasdaq Level 1 data fee ?

Thanks

SEC Rate:

You are correct: the rate is 23.40 and that's what we have been charging our traders. We are correcting the mistake on the website.
Thanks for bringing it up to our attention.

About Data: Sure, you do not have to subscribe to any data if you have it.

Quote from UMU:

Why is your advertisements (fe. the commission rates) incomplete / not correct?

Besides the SEC rate, we are working on it now - what others are incomplete / incorrect ?

The ECN routing fees aren't mentioned, so I don't know what 500k shares/day on average per month exactly costs.
Can you clarify what in this case the trader has to pay in total
for trading 500k shares on a day, say all sell orders, thru INET?

INET routing out is 0.0025 per share.

If all you do is route out selling orders then you pay:

0.001 commission
0.0025 INET route out
$23.40 per million sold for SEC
0.0001 per share sold for NASD trading activity fee

That's it.

Serge: Actually, for listed stocks on INET, there is no charge to take or add liquidity. You'd probably not want to use INET to route listed to NYSE if you have a DOT connection. Do you? Are there additional fees for that? Why are listed base commission rates higher than NASDAQ?

Can you confirm/add the ECN rates for listed stocks?
