Generic Trading?

Does anybody know anything about Generic Trading up in Woburn, Mass? Are they a good trading firm? Any information you could provide would be great...Thanks.

Ron Scheer runs Generic trading, and their retail wing "Carlin Equities" - Generic is one of the old line groups, been around a while.

felichka,

As Don had mentioned Ron Shear runs Genaric Trading, L.L.C. and The Carlin Group(for customer accounts). Their web
site is at www.carlingroup.com . Ron was a specialist in XMI
(Major Market Index), when I traded on the AMEX in the 80's .
Check out their website. They clear through Spear,Leeds & Kellogg like Bright & LWS. Don Bright , hope you had a good new
year and market conditions will improve in 2002!

Tell me please if you know.
When the trading company let's say Main Trading LLC has two subsidiaries Sub Main A and Sub Main B. Suppose Sub Main A due to the poor risk management looses all the money. Is it possible that that Sub Main A goes chapter 11 and the Main Trading LLC is not liable for the losses ? What kind of structure is this when under the wing of Main LLC there are affiliates LLC under different names ? Does it mean those affiliates have even more limited liability ?

Sorry if the question is primitive.
