What's up with that? The obvious...Adam atest thereof - and you say he didn't die. Then apparently this God gets stuff badly wrong....

The Genesis text does not give Adam freewill as religionists would have it and by extension, this God did not make freewill available to people any more than she/he/it made freewill available to Adam.
Both literaly and metaphoricaly it doesn't stack.
