GC quoting on IB

wtf is it with the quoting on these. every contract has the same inside size flashing . Is there no no real market , only auto quotes?
 
On Comex, the top step month (M for about another week when it'll roll to Q) is very active with many different traders and many different sizes. In every month past that, it appears to be one or more market makers who are all making the same approximate $0.40 wide market in each month.

So what IB is showing you sounds about right for Comex. And that's as real as you'll get, unless you've got contacts in Spot Gold.
 
Well at least I got one decent answer, more than I expected from the nitwits here.

Thing is, I was seeing that same quote on the M contract 95% of the time. Looks to me like very sporadic retail/fund trading.

Small sample but I was surprised.
