GBA's "2021 Stock Phantasma"

And Jane, man it is involved, but I think its safe to say there are gonna be a boat-load of shares coming off that lock-up.
One source says 120M
I don't think they're right.
I don't think anyone can figure the damn thing out. That's why your searches too did not yield anything.

ok re: coupang makes me feel better Van that you couldn't figure it out either. maybe my takeaway is just to have money set aside to buy shares in case it drops around the 180 days.

also, stoney!, XAIR is looking great. with the swing trading i've done on it, i now have way less shares than i wanted going into this rise...but that's sometimes how it goes. still, if i had a lot of shares i'd be looking to take a few profits at this point, or soon. we're getting close to up 100% since you first spotted it in june. i know, i know, the fda is a lock...but something in how it's a sure thing makes me nervous. but that's just me maybe.

Even in the ira, I have adhd lol. There is one stock though, that I have never sold.
The greatest stock of all time.
$ISRG
I always said I would sell it if it ever hit $1000.
I couldn't do it.
I love that company.
Someday they'll get bought by someone REAL big.
Like Siemens. I used to think GE, but that was back before they tanked.

Dam, I had ISRG at $7 in 02 and bought more in the teens. It’s hard seeing the long term potential even though my friend at Roth Cap begged me not to sell till it hit $100. He said they would perform heart and bloody cancer surgeries by 2020. He died never selling ISRG and his AAPL before Jobs took over. I wish I had your financial knowledge and strength to hold stocks for decades!

Dam GENI moves after my Aug $17.50s and $20s were pummeled! I learned something new, the day GENI announced that earnings would be in Sept stock fell from $18 to $15 where I bought to some to offset GENI options losses. Now Kathy is buying?

Dam, I had ISRG at $7 in 02 and bought more in the teens.
It's a great story. It started at DARPA in the the late '80's, when the visionaries there were just beginning to see the potential of the internet. It was a crazy idea... perform battlefield surgery on wounded soldiers... remotely. I read about it early on and and honest to god, I knew it could be done. At least the signals required. I knew it could be done via radio. It was the dexterity of the instrument on the receiving end that needed to be overcome. And to this day, in so many ways, that still needs to be overcome. If we ever want Elon Musk style robots at least.

The stock, hell I bought it for the short squeeze. I got in and out and in and out... always long though lol. After about two years of seeing Q over Q revenue growth that at the time was unheard of... I said f't... I'm never selling this stock. I would just buy more when I dumped trash stocks.

I made a post here somewhere when Covid hit... it had dropped to like $375.... I told everyone here.... mortgage the farm and buy this damn thing.

I'll find that post...

EDIT:

A classic:

(I was just writing this when you made that post... let me look. $255 may be a little low.)

Man I'll tell you guys what though. If you have a retirement account... start buying a few shares of ISRG. Like I said, its a trap here at $376 now... I'll have to pull out the magic pencil and look at this one, I should be able to get a pretty good bottom guess on it. I've followed it for ages... but that said... even at this level, if you can stand to watch it go lower... buy some of this company. You will not be sorry. I promise.

ISRG is dropping again.
I set an order to trigger a buy of 20 shares at $338.
I'm a whale I know. :D

$676 today after killer earnings.
:sneaky:

All-time high today.
$733

... best stock in the world. ;)

I won't argue-- it is a good one! Blackstone BX is right up there!

Hey This Is Potentially Really Significant--

Beam Global issued Chinese patent for EV ARC system 08:04 BEEM

First off I'm surprised the Chinese even have a patent office I thought they just stole technology and had a copy office!

THIS FEELS HUGE TO ME FOR THIS COMPANY... Anybody else have a take-- I hope they were not a SPAC these BEEM guys<----

IDEA #1 THURSDAY- BEEM -

Careful reading-> This is for the portable version...

Beam Global issued Chinese patent for EV ARC system 08:04 BEEM Beam Global announced the issuance of another patent by the Chinese Patent Office that covers the Company's compact transportation-configurable EV ARC products. The Chinese Patent Certificate for Patent No. ZL201680066408.6 is for the Company's EV ARC product development, enabling configuration in a compact condition for shipping in a 20-foot shipping container or on flatbed, rail car, or the Company's ARC Mobility proprietary transportation system. "We already have various patents covering our rapidly deployed EV ARC systems in the US, China and the EU," said Desmond Wheatley, Beam Global's CEO. "Our ability to transform EV ARC into a compact shippable form-factor that can be easily shipped anywhere in the world in a container, is a significant differentiating advantage for us. I'm not aware of any other company that can deliver a rapidly deployed EV charging infrastructure product that requires no site work at its destination and no connection to the grid. Protecting this and all our other valuable IP in China and Europe is important particularly as we continue to consider international expansion opportunities."

IDEA #2 SHOE CARNIVAL-- Van I have to read your comments... about the split I came within a whisker of buying this yesterday! My tech work was on point... It's just the inner guts that are weak...

Shoe Carnival selloff brings buying opportunity, says Monness Crespi 07:57 SCVL Monness Crespi analyst Jim Chartier views yesterday's post-earnings selloff in shares of Shoe Carnival as a buying opportunity. The company's Q2 results were well above consensus and guidance was stronger than expected, Chartier tells investors in a research note. The analyst thinks the outlook is conservative and sees a favorable risk/reward at current share levels. He keeps a Buy rating on Shoe Carnival with a $42 price target.
