Stephens raises Ping Identity price target to $35, names a Best Idea 07:47 PING Stephens analyst Brian Colley raised the firm's price target on Ping Identity to $35 from $33 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares, naming the stock as his Best Idea following "an across-the-board beat" versus consensus in Q2. Ping is seeing accelerating top-line growth as it benefits from improving traction with its SaaS offering and a strengthening demand environment for identity security, said Colley, who sees the company becoming "increasingly well-positioned to benefit from secular tailwinds in the identity space."

Cybersecurity specialist Ping Identity Holding (NYSE PING)has both immediate return potential and long-term growth possibilities.

They say nothing is as certain as death and taxes, but in today's computerized age, we can add hacker attacks to the list. There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by anymore when some corporation isn't reporting that its systems were compromised by a cyberthreat, and the recent ransomware attacks against the Colonial Pipeline and meat processor JBS show the need for a strong defense.

Ping Identity offers affordable, customizable, AI-powered identity protection services that grow smarter at recognizing threats and responding to them more efficiently over time. Importantly, its technology allows for protection on site, in the cloud, or as a hybrid solution between the two, meeting the needs of clients wherever the cybersecurity threat presents itself.

Ping's stock got demolished earlier this year after missing analysts' earnings expectations, and while they have a consensus hold rating on the stock, their target price of $34 per share implies that 56% upside is built into the current share price. As it switches over to a more subscription-based model, its revenue streams will become more stable and predictable, putting that price target well within reach over the next year.
 
Amazon continues toward competing with parcel incumbents, says Morgan Stanley 12:18 AMZN, UPS, FDX, EBAY, ETSY, WMT, SHOP After The Financial Times reported that shoppers who use e-commerce websites such as eBay (EBAY) and Etsy (ETSY) have begun receiving their packages fulfilled by Amazon (AMZN), Morgan Stanley analyst Ravi Shanker said he believes this is "only a small step away" from Amazon launching a full third-party delivery service in the U.S. and competing with "parcel incumbents" UPS (UPS) and FedEx (FDX). The story names Walmart (WMT) and Shopify (SHOP) in addition to Etsy and eBay as platforms where small-to-midsize business sellers are using Amazon Multi Channel Fulfillment, said Shanker, who noted that "all these platforms" currently use UPS or FedEx for fulfillment and that Amazon fulfilling orders from these platforms represents loss of share for the two incumbents. Shanker has an Underweight rating on UPS and an Equal Weight rating on FedEx shares.

I seem to remember AMZN buying a few prototypes from Rivian. But if ELMS could get involved here it would be amazing for them. If AMZN builds out a delivery fleet wouldn't it be electric? I think so.

Ping Identity resumed with a Hold at Stifel 05/24 PING Stifel analyst Adam Borg resumed coverage of Ping Identity with a Hold rating and $26 price target. The analyst believes Ping has a "number of drivers" to sustain annual recurring revenue but does not expect meaningful multiple expansion from current levels given "increasing competition and an insider overhang." He notes that Vista owns around 40% of the shares.
