Looking strong.
I have 3 concerns with snap. I'm not sure I can remember them. Let's try:
1> Biden is about to release a gotcha bill aimed at tech.
2> Cathie Ark sold out mid June.
3> FB this week started their copy cat feature which auto erases after I think 15 days.
SNAP appears well positioned but I'm not quite sold on the future growth opportunities. Easier for me to understand CPNG.
Stoney, if 80% of folks under 30 are using Snap Chat at least once per day, and have been for quite some time, there's absolutely nothing FB can do to migrate that base.
The messaging part is nothing anyway, its the immersion into the Snapiverse... augmented reality, 3d movies, music, art, users earning $1,000,000 per day if they create something cool. Its an addiction. Not unlike FB in that regard.
Plus Biden's team isn't gonna mess with SNAP.
Why would they?
And what does "Biden is about to release a gotcha bill aimed at tech" even mean?
How are you defining "tech" in that statement?
IBM? NVDA? AMD? GOOG, FB, AMZN, ... and 10 dozen other companies?
What does that mean?
Stoney, there's different types of stocks.
Growth stocks are pricey.
If the whole group falls out of favor, yes they all go down... but when growth stocks are where the money is flowing, I want to own the premium growth stock.
Nothing out there holds a candle to SNAP.
Their revenue growth puts them in the league of very few companies.
If FB were smart, they'd buy them
Now that might get a response out of team Biden.
Moving on...
Coupang is in the running for the first stock EVER to be removed from the G4G portfolio.
Its a dog and it's not going anywhere anytime fast.
S Korea is saturated and Japan/Malaysia is gonna cost them a fortune to build out the required logistical infrastructure.
I mean I don't think it'll dip below $35 anytime soon, but I don't see $50 in the cards for awhile either.
Sure it'll get upgrades and spike, but it'll come back down.
Dead money near term.
