Canoo adds manufacturing partner to bridge the gap before U.S. plant ready

• Canoo(GOEV+0.1%)makes several announcement as part of its investor relations event today.
• The company says VDL Nedcar is its contract manufacturing partner. Netherlands-based VDL Nedcar will manufacture the Lifestyle Vehicle for the U.S. and European Union markets while Canoo builds its U.S.-based mega microfactory.
• The Nedcar facility is slated to build up to 1000 units for both the U.S. and European markets in 2022 with a target of 15K units in 2023.
• Importantly, Canoo says the arrangement will help it meet its commitment to start production and deliver vehicles in Q4 of 2022.
• "We conducted an exhaustive search, invested significant amounts of time and resources that span the globe, in our search for our Phase 1 contract manufacturer.

That was based off April 15 taxes which got pushed forward a month. So it became June 15th nice try. I have a theory about markets and taxes.

That date was pushed forwards when the taxes were rescheduled. I have to sell a lot of stocks to make taxes and I feel others do as well. So 1st chinks in a market often come around tax day. This year Biden's tax plans have accelerated that trend if anything.

Two months ago I said the market will go nowhere and you will be right where you are Index wise. That proved to be 100% correct.

I predicted a sell off in June that I now see happening in July. We'll have to see if I'm right but I see a long hot summer. ~stoney
