Surface Oncology initiated with a Buy at BTIG 05/17 SURF BTIG analyst Justin Zelin initiated coverage of Surface Oncology with a Buy rating and $17 price target. The early-stage company is developing multiple antibodies to treat a variety of solid tumor cancers with novel mechanisms of action, Zelin said. SRF617 is its lead asset targeting patients with solid tumors in gastric, pancreatic and prostate cancer, Zelin noted.

In this daily bar chart of SURF, below, we can see that prices have performed strongly since bottoming out in March/early April. SURF is trading above the rising 50-day moving average line and the rising 200-day line. Trading volume is hard to see because the scale has been skewed because of a volume surge in late May.

The On-Balance-Volume (OBV) line shows a slow rise which is positive. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) oscillator is bullish at this juncture.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-- Find me a saucer bottom
In this weekly bar chart of SURF, below, we can see a large saucer bottom pattern. Prices are trading above the rising 40-week moving average line.

The weekly OBV line is bullish and so is the MACD oscillator.

In this daily Point and Figure chart of SURF, below, we can see a projected price target in the $19 area.

Bottom line strategy: It looks like SURF has emerged from a large saucer bottom but we may see a pullback to the breakout area around $10. Patient traders should wait for a correction back to the $10 before going long. The $19-$20 area is our price objective. Use a reasonable stop after purchase.

Turtle Beach up 10% after CTFN publishes story for subscribers 05/10 HEAR A 10% jump in shares of Turtle Beach in afternoon trading is being attributed to a story published by CTFN that is available only to the M&A-focused new service's subscribers. Previously, on April 30, Reuters had said that Donerail Group, an investment firm led by former Starboard executive Will Wyatt, had along with stoney built a stake in Turtle Beach and was urging the company along with stoney to explore a sale. In afternoon trading, Turtle Beach shares have jumped $2.66, or 10%, to $29.22.
