SQ came out of the gate yesterday, dropped to $197 in the first few minutes as predicted, and then proceeded to climb to nearly $211.

stoney do we still hate nokia? i don't have them anymore, but follow them from the gamestop days, and they have started a decent looking slow climb. i just googled them and i guess as of two days ago Cramer likes it, for what it's worth. there was a big turnaround planned by a new ceo and i think a decent recent financial report. they've been buried by years of bad decisions obv.
 
So looking at Cracker Barrel here...

Analysts forecast EPS of $0.24 They come in at $1.51.
So... a 650% beat?!

Ohh-kaaaay.

But revenue was forecast at $690M, it comes in at $713M.
A 3% beat (+/-).

Now how does that work?
A 3% beat on the top translates to a 650% beat on the bottom line.
I don't see it.
There are no "one time adjusted gains" anywhere.
Besides, that would be accounted for anyway.

Cracker Barrel stock rallies after big profit beat, dividend restarted<------
Shares of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. jumped 1.9% in premarket trading Tuesday, after the restaurant and retail company reported a big fiscal third-quarter profit beat and restarted its dividend program, with a $1.00 per share quarterly payout. The company swung to net income of $33.5 million, or $1.41 a share, for the quarter to April 30, from a loss of $161.9 million, or $6.81 a share, in the year-ago period. Excluding nonrecurring items, adjusted earnings per share came to $1.51, or nearly four times the FactSet consensus of 39 cents. Total revenue increased 65% to $713.4 million, beating the FactSet consensus of $675.6 million. Same-restaurant sales from 56.5% from a year ago, beating the FactSet consensus for a 55.0% rise, while same-store retail sales jumped 102.8% to beat expectations of 68.3% growth. "The pace of our sales and margin recovery in the quarter exceeded expectations as we welcomed guests back into our dining rooms and our off-premise business remained strong," said Chief Executive Sandra Cochran. The company said it will pay a quarterly dividend of $1.00 a share on Aug. 6 to shareholders of record on July 16. The last time Cracker Barrel paid a dividend was $1.30 a share in August 2020. Comps down 8.5% over 2019 quarter.
These restaurants stocks are all using 2019 #'s as an apples to apples comparison. Fair enough.

So -8.5% could be attributed to "we're still early in the re-open", but YUM and Darden smoked 2019 comps.
Yeah digital sales helped them immensley, but CBRL digital was also up 140%.

As I type I see it just went red.
It was at $166 pre-market. Opened at $165.21
$160ish now.

I really should get a paycheck here.
