The stock market action this week is raising questions about the recent narrative, where the spike in yields was thenemesis for the high-value, high-growth lockdown winners.

  • Is the market is moving from higher real rates hitting momentum and growth names to more conviction in a rotation trade into value and cyclicals?

  • Evolus(NASDAQ:EOLS) slides 10% premarket after announcingQ4 and FY20 results for period ended December 31, 2020.
  • For Q4, the company recorded total net revenues of $20.6M, +5.8% Y/Y and a beat of $0.3M.
  • Revenue was partially impacted by the company selling under a bond required by the ITC beginning mid-December 2020 resulting in minimal net revenue in the last two weeks of the quarter.
  • Gross margin was 64.6%. Non-GAAP loss from operations was $12.2M compared to $12.4M in same period prior year.
  • Q4 Net loss of $110.7M compared to loss of $14.5M in Q4 2019. The increase was due to $83.4M of litigation settlement expenses associated with the Allergan/Medytox Settlement Agreements.
  • Loss per share reached ($3.28) vs. ($0.47) last year, missed estimates by $2.94.
  • In Q4, the company resolved all legal matters with Allergan, Medytox and Daewoong Pharmaceutical related to the U.S. International Trade Commission case.
  • Strong underlying market demand for Jeuveau was seen in Q4, evidenced by 600 new purchasing accounts resulting in over 5,600 accounts at Dec. 31.
  • Re-order rates increased to 72% in Q4.
  • For FY 2020, Total net revenues were $56.5M, an increase of 62% compared to 2019 net revenues of $34.9M.
  • Gross margin of 67.6%. Non-GAAP loss from operations of $54M improved by 33% from $81.1M in 2019.
  • Net loss was $163M in 2020 compared to $90M last year.
  • Financial outlook: The company anticipates FY 2021 gross margin between 50% and 55%.
  • Also, as a result of the recently announced settlement agreements, EOLS expects to have 43.7M shares outstanding.

Life Update-- I called the bank and they called promptly back. My case has been escalated to the highest level on a 1st come 1st serve basis. I have like 7 days until i can't write checks...

This is just a vibe and that's dangerous to go off but I thought his tone was a little different and encouraging. Now that might be because yesterday I left some Kind of crazy ass drunk message on his machine. I regret that!!! I was stuttering and nervous I didn't even say hello I just started listing off all the money that was going leave that branch.. it was really bad form

"Yea... Yea and there's this in this acct and the mortgage and the savings account and a the kids also got a Jp Morgan Custodial acct- a custoldial I'm taking that and and.." the Business -were the dough is-- the one account they are letting me keep... I kind of lumped in there late, I gave off the figure in the act without naming the account....

So yea another day and I know nothing.....
 
Besides the obvious growing adoption of social media management platforms, Sprout Social highlighted the growing adoption of new use cases for its platform during the last earnings. This adds more credibility to the ACV expansion potential.

There are a few leading and lagging indicators of growth driving my conviction in the growth story. These include:

  • Total Revenue of $37.3M, up 33% last quarter.
  • Total ARR of $158.3M, up 34%
  • Q4 DBNRR of 110%. Excluding SMB customers, DBNRR is even more impressive at 120%. Sprout Social noted during the last earnings that headwinds to SMB customers due to COVID have largely reversed. These headwinds peaked in Q2’20.
  • Customer count growth to 26,718 (versus 25,556 in Q3'20)
  • Customers contributing over $10,000 in ARR grew to 3,149 customers (+ 44% y/y)

I expect a strong reversal at some point before Friday's close however.
Not sure exactly when, it may wait until 3:30 est Friday, but between now and then.... the weak hands are gonna fold.
