Sprout Social, Inc. (SPT)3 Comments
- Small-cap software stock Sprout Social is trading at ~25% below all-time highs after the February tech correction.
- The company has issued strong bullish signals after its fourth-quarter earnings report.
- Sprout Social showed revenue growth accelerating six points sequentially to 33% y/y, and is continuing to expect 30% y/y growth in the upcoming year.
- As social media continues to become a dominant advertising channel, platforms like Sprout Social will become vital tools to organize a coherent social media strategy.
Sprout Social (
SPT), a lesser-known software startup based in Chicago that went public in December 2019
at $17 per share, is one such stock. A small-cap company with barely over $100 million in annualized recurring revenue, I'm not under any illusions that Sprout Social is necessarily cheap (the stock is still sitting at just under 4x gains barely a year past its IPO),
- Platform agnostic, and technology that is one-size-fits-all.Sprout Social has expertise across all the major social media platforms, including Facebook (FB), Instagram, Twitter (TWTR), Pinterest (PINS), Snap (SNAP), and even TikTok. Sprout Social's technology also uses a single code base that is applicable to all clients, meaning there is no need to custom-configure its solutions for any particular client.
- Nearly pure recurring revenue.Nearly 100% of Sprout Social's revenue base is SaaS, with its customers paying recurring fees to use Sprout Social's post schedule, monitoring, and analytics tools.
- Founder-led.Sprout Social is still led by its founder Justyn Howard, which is typically a strong signal for smaller companies.
- >$50 billion TAM, driven by still-nascent business adoption of social media. Many companies, especially SMB-type clients, are still figuring out social media for the first time, meaning that the majority of Sprout Social's market is greenfield. The company estimates its current TAM at >$50 billion (see chart below):

By no means, however, is this stock cheap. At Sprout Social's
current $63 share prices, its market cap is $3.36 billion. After netting off the $163.9 million of cash on Sprout Social's most recent balance sheet, its enterprise value is $3.20 billion.
WOW $17---> $63 THAT's An IPO!>>>>>>
HERE COME THE ROBOTS!-
XPO Logistics pilots Baylo's robotic reach truck in France 07:14 XPO, BYYLF, KIGRY XPO Logistics (XPO) has announced a new technology pilot program in collaboration with Balyo (BYYLF), a specialist developer of robotics for handling goods. XPO is the first logistics company in Europe to test Balyo's latest robotic reach truck under real-life conditions. The pilot is underway at an XPO distribution center near Blois, France. The robotic trucks in the pilot program have an overhead reach of up to 11 meters and can maneuver through aisles as narrow as 2.9 meters, while moving 10 to 20 pallets per hour, depending on the application. They operate safely in mixed facility settings, working alongside employees and traditional forklifts. Balyo develops its autonomous reach robots in collaboration with Linde Material Handling (KIGRY).
Truist upgrades
Central Garden & Pet to Buy on 'right' operational strategy, M&A 07:12 CENT As previously reported, Truist analyst Bill Chappell upgraded Central Garden & Pet to Buy from Hold with a price
target of $65, up from $45, while also raising his FY21 EPS view to $2.72 from $2.10 and FY22 to $2.96 from $2.21. The analyst is updating his model to reflect a "conservative" accretion estimate from the company's 3 acquisitions announced over the past 100 days. Chappell adds that he has long seen Central Garden & Pet as being well positioned in pet and garden category, but now believes that it also also the "right strategy" operationally and on M&A to yield consistent growth, with the impact of the pandemic having a long-term benefit for both categories.!!!!!!
I luv CENT... thinking CENT, FNKO double pack.....
