Sudden urge to buy PLTR no idea why. Something about the guys snarky do not buy our stock comment made me think something big is on the horizon. Just a guess. I did get a document dump.. I asked the hedge fund about PLTR and they sent me some coverage... it's complicated stuff... I'll dig through a bit.

  • After its merger with Foley Trasimene Acquisition(NYSE:BFT), Paysafe announced its board effective at the closing of the business combination transaction.
  • The post-merger company board of 11 directors will be led by Chairman Bill Foley.
  • "The collective strategic guidance and diversity the directors bring to the table, combined with the deep domain expertise we already possess in specialized payments, will serve us well as we accelerate our global growth strategy as a newly public company," CEO Philip McHugh commented.
  • Anthony Jabbour, named CEO and COO with proven track record of growth and innovation in fintech; he is the CEO of Dun & Bradstreet.
  • Five existing Paysafe board members have been nominated to retain their board positions post-merger which includes CEO Philip McHugh.
  • A special meeting of the Foley Trasimene stockholders has been scheduled for Mar. 25, 2021; transaction is expected to close shortly thereafter subject to Foley Trasimene stockholders approval.
  • On closure, the newly combined company will operate as Paysafe and trade on NYSE under the symbol, 'PSFE'.

Shorts are going crazy on PLTR and Robin Hood loves it.. it's a weird set up I have heard that Robin Hood's most talked about positively stock is PLTR yet they cannot move it it's too liquid... and it's being controlled by larger shorts-- Where are the Gamestop boys & girls... Kitty Kat?

Palantir (PLTR) has been steadily improving its top-line performance in recent months, which lead to the appreciation of its stock. However, due to its narrow product-market fit, it will be hard for the company to scale its business. After being in business for nearly two decades, Palantir has only ~125 clients and with every new client, it'll likely lose money at the beginning of the partnership due to high initial development costs and a long sales cycle. In addition, by trading at a P/S ratio of over 30x, the future growth of Palantir is already priced in into the stock and its upside at this stage is limited.

I've been thinking about getting a long position in PLTR too and trying not to mess with it. I've been thinking about trying to get it under $24, as that seems a pretty safe entry. missed that it dropped to that yesterday, probably would have bought then.
 
re: bio-chemicals

I was reading about the stock Amyris AMRS last night. It's up 600% since Dec. 1. At that time I was just looking at bio-plastics. this does bio-chemicals, which i've since started to read about, too, but too bad I wasn't looking at that stuff at the time because the price in Dec. 1 ($2.75) would have caught my interest.

It's a cool story. New CEO got hired away from BP by Amyris 14 years ago to do bio-fuels and he realizes there's no money at the time to do bio-fuels, so he takes their bio-chemicals portfolio and transitions to cosmetic lines etc where there is apparently a lot of money. It took years, but stock finally blew up. Pros seem to think there's more rise left in the stock, but wow it climbed really high really fast. CEO does seem the important thing in this. What other bio stuff is still there under five bucks i'm wondering?
