- Westport Fuel Systems(NASDAQ:WPRT)+8.3%post-market after the Weichai Westport joint ventureagreed to amended termsfor the existing technologydevelopment and supply agreements between the two groups.
- Westport Fuel Systems will supply to Weichai Westport its proprietary components for at least 25K 12-liter engines operating on the HPDI 2.0 fuel system by year-end 2024, a 28% volume increase over the previous agreement.
- Westport's HPDI 2.0 technology enables heavy-duty trucks to run on natural gas with reduced fuel costs, CO2 and particulate emissions, while achieving diesel-like performance.
- WPRT shares have pulled back from their $12.95 intraday high reached last month but have soared 11x from a year ago.
- Wells Fargo(NYSE:WFC) CEO Charlie Scharf expects to see the U.S. economy come back strong in the the second half of 2021, he said in an interview on Bloomberg Television.
- "Consumer demand is extremely high — over the last couple of weeks, we, like others, have seen material increases in consumer spend, and that's before the stimulus checks have arrived," he said.

- Travel + Leisure(NYSE:TNL)secures a term securitization transaction involving the issuance of $500M of asset-backed notes.
- “Our first public term offering of the year received considerable interest from the investment communit. This strong investor demand allowed us to upsize the transaction by $200 million to $500 million while significantly tightening spreads across all of the tranches. The weighted average coupon of 1.57% is the lowest ever for the Sierra platform.” y,” said Mike Hug, CFO.

- Announcing its seventh acquisition for the year, GrowGeneration (GRWG+4.3%) has expanded its portfolio of hydroponic garden centers to 52with the acquisition of Aquarius Hydroponics, said to be the largest hydroponics retailers in New England.
- The deal for Aquarius Hydroponics with annual revenue of ~$5M ‘represents our entry into Massachusetts' cannabis market, which is projected to become a $1 billion industry in 2021,’ noted GrowGen's CEO Darren Lampert.
- The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
- Driven by plans to operate 55 garden center locations by the end of 2021, GrowGeneration yesterday announced the acquisition of 55 Hydroponics located in Santa Ana, California.

Lake Street confidence in Westport's China ramp boosted by Weichai deal 08:01 WPRT After Weichai increased its minimum commitment for Westport's HPDI systems to 25,000 from 18,000 units units in exchange for a one-year extension in the commitment timeline, Lake Street analyst Robert Brown said he is encouraged by Weichai's commitment and not surprised by the extension given certification delays that were driven in part by the pandemic. The analyst, who said the the larger volume commitments increase his confidence the China market can ramp quickly, keeps a Buy rating and $13 price target on Westport Fuel Systems shares.
