Mimecast informed by Microsoft that Mimecast-issued certificate compromised 10:08 MIME, MSFT Mimecast (MIME) said in a post to its corporate blog: "Microsoft recently informed us that a Mimecast-issued certificate provided to certain customers to authenticate Mimecast Sync and Recover, Continuity Monitor, and IEP products to Microsoft 365 Exchange Web Services has been compromised by a sophisticated threat actor. Approximately 10% of our customers use this connection. Of those that do, there are indications that a low single digit number of our customers' M365 tenants were targeted. We have already contacted these customers to remediate the issue. As a precaution, we are asking the subset of Mimecast customers using this certificate-based connection to immediately delete the existing connection within their M365 tenant and re-establish a new certificate-based connection using the new certificate we've made available. Taking this action does not impact inbound or outbound mail flow or associated security scanning. The security of our customers is always our top priority. We have engaged a third-party forensics expert to assist in our investigation, and we will work closely with Microsoft and law enforcement as appropriate."

XPO Logistics price target raised to $135 from $122 at JPMorgan 09:29 XPO JPMorgan analyst Brian Ossenbeck raised the firm's price target on XPO Logistics to $135 from $122 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares. The analyst enters the Q4 earnings season with "one of the most cautious stances in recent memory" on the transportation and logistics sector. He expects "fundamentals will outweigh FOMO and factor rotation, at least for the next month," and sees "earnings misses where they matter (rails) and beats where they don't (trucking)."

SIMO is looking like an interesting pick from a technical perspective, as the company is seeing favorable trends on the moving average crossover front. Recently, the 50 Day Moving Average for SIMO broke out above the 200 Day Simple Moving Average, suggesting a short-term bullish trend.
This has already started to take place, as the stock has moved higher by 6.2% in the past four weeks. Plus, the company currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) suggesting that now could definitely be the time for this breakout candidate.
More bullishness may especially be the case when investors consider what has been happening for SIMO on the earnings estimate revision front lately. No estimate has gone lower in the past two months, compared to 2 higher, while the consensus estimate has also moved higher too.

another penny-stock I'm watching is ADOM. they will likely regain funding from the Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) in California. i don't know when but big upside here.

Most deff have to start with these polluting trucks there have been times on the highways I have wanted to make a citizen arrest and I would have if deputized. I think cars should patrol the highways and when one of these idiots with no muffler comes by they should get tested right there on the side of the road and get a huge fine. Adom sounds interesting.

- General Motors (GM +3.5%) is looking to make a big splash at CES this year with a couple of announcement out already.
- Due to the strong demand in the market for battery-powered delivery vehicles, the company is forming a new business unit. The first product for the new venture called BrightDrop will be an electric-powered wheeled pallet that will take goods from the warehouse to trucks and from trucks to destinations. GM also plans to roll out an all-electric delivery van called the EV600. The first 500 EV600 vans are slated to go to FedEx this year.
