Where I am currently employed, which used to have a sponsorship on side of an indycar as recent of this year, exclusively uses IAA. I don't see IAA company going anywhere anytime soon. They have a decent user system, plenty of exclusive contracts with insurance companies/tow yards and prime land. I don't know which is larger but Copart is heavily used by the large insurance companies like State Farm and Allstate. I don't think you can go wrong with either one if that's the sector you're looking at.
.
VTech....
I don't know if you caught this post of mine from a week or so back, but IAA is on the radar.
Maybe Copart is buying them out. (?)
So yesterday there's this stock, IAA.
Someone went in and bought 15,000 of the Nov $55 calls for like $3 plus.
So I look at this stock.
They do exactly what my CPRT does... they're just way smaller.
Now I told you guys, when CPRT reports in early September, they are gonna blow it out of the water.
I have to wonder if CPRT is working on a deal to buy this company IAA
Look at the open interest on the calls for October and November.
Something is up for sure.
EDIT:
Now if there was a deal in the works, again just pure speculation really, but if there was... inevitably, 9 times out of 10, the acquirers stock price goes down on the announcement. For whatever that's worth.
