Update-
Honeywell has been a slog went up to $120 and gave it all back. I think you take a shot here being that $196-$198 is 6 layers of TA support,///

My best guess is this takes out $220. But certainly we get back to $220 and decide what to do then.

I suppose this is economy driven. The stock's downturn came as this economic downturn was being spoon fed to us.

Stoney what field is your son studying? Is he going to take Big Pete’s job?

He is in Communications with a minor in marketing. He is very sporty and I would love for him to wind up with a sports agent sort of set up, an agency or perhaps there is a job with the Knicks. He's great with younger kids and could run a Flag football 0r B ball program... I get nervous thinking about jobs. Next summer he need to intern somewhere.

AI Rethought:

OK AI- I have been very negative on. And with good reason. I do research out the yahoo for what I do. Every paper I have penned on the market's moves, every post I have made here at ET comes from hours and hours of hard work. I don't like shortcuts. And AI is a badly executed shortcut.

When you read an AI generated news story it reads like crap. Kids not doing the work on school papers it's an AI cop out. There is nothing we really need now from AI.

If you use your phone now to travel you have a mapping system it works you don't need AI.

AI to the consumer = fraud. And tricksters trying to trick you....

BUT WHAT DOES AI MEAN FOR ALL THE COMPANIES IN THE STOCK MARKET?

And here is where my tune is changing. Yes the mega guys will crash because their cash outlay does not match the result. But what of every day companies...

The reach of AI and the way in many little ways AI can contribute to cutting costs... it does perhaps set us up for a future of growing earnings.<----

The overall EPS picture for the markets for the next ten years is going to be HIGH. Higher than it would of been without AI And that allows PE's to drift up.

So while there may not be a killer app that we all need... many many companies will benefit in small ways and the combined effect will be stronger overall Earnings.~si

Haha.

Stoney.... I explained this to the readers weeks ago.

But your observation/opinion, which I am sure is 100% original (on your part) because I know you didn't read my post.... is a good thing. I'll take the compliment.

Anyway---- as always when the mantra was the exact opposite, I wrote about what was real. Glad you have finally come around and seen the light.

The AI trade right now, in particular NVDA and maybe AMD, is not about the consumer, ie Youtube or search etc. It's about the behind the scenes stuff that it can do on the enterprise side reducing costs, which in time will result in higher margins and eps. NVDA is the anterior face of AI right now, the real payoff will be in many Fortune 500 companies over time. And that's why NVDA is selling all it can make.

What is Wally World?-

There is a long 4 hr youtube vid on Stars Wars World Hotel<--

Vz can I pick your mind for a second?

My microwave keeps tripping the breaker in the fuse box it has happened over the past month repeatedly and today twice it blew.

So I called the building super up and he said the breaker was just a safety valve sort of thing and the problem was most likely coming from the microwave itself?

Do you agree?

It would be much cheaper to fix a breaker switch.. and when our central air con was in trouble in Ct we did switch out the fuse box breaker but we may of added a higher voltage ability..

Long story short this microwave is built into the kitchen above the stove, it's going to be a huge pain in the ass to rip out and replace..(6 years old) If the fuse box is not the problem, maybe change the outlet in the wall? Even though it's testing the right way they stuck a amp meter in..

~signed royally confused.

Oh wait I forgot the best part--> The microwave shorted out twice this morning and the guy came up and I said let me show you and I flicked the breaker switch to on and The microwave worked fine. :( So I rapidly hit 30 second, fine.1 minute and 2 minutes fine. it was working!:banghead:

After not working...

So its spontaneous tripping circuit breakers/ but not always..

Changing the outlet where it plugs into the wall would be my cheapest option now...

"What is Wally World?"

Gee Stoney... maybe read the post maybe and try to to infer from between the lines.... OR.... just say "You nailed that Walmart call Van. You're amazing."

I won't hold my breath. Your oversensitive shuns of those that consistently outshine you are legendary. But moving on with regards to the microwave...

The Stoney Microwave:

From what you wrote, it's a standard over the range wall mounted microwave recessed into the cabinets above.

First of all, I doubt it's in your box, just as the superintendent said. But just in case you have some old bs breakers, lets eliminate that first.

Next time it knocks out the breaker, go into the cabinet above it, and you will see its chord and and the outlet it is plugged into.

-grab a 3 pronged extenstion chord, and (before you reset the popped breaker) find a plug that still works, ie on a different circuit.

Then use it a few times and see if it pops that breaker. Usually, even if they were installed 50 years ago, any plug in or around the kitchen will have a 20 amp breaker. Your microwave oven draws 10 amps at best. Just make sure to find a plug that works before you reset the one that popped. For our test.

Have Mrs.Stoney suck it up for a day or two because I'm sure she'll bitch... the extension chord thing in the way... but if it doesn't pop the breaker on that circuit, your initial prognosis is right. But I doubt that's what you'll find. Odds are the microwave will pop the new plug's circuit too.

Now I realize this part is like trying to teach Mandarin to Muttley... but just for anyone that lands here on a search for whatever reason... that microwave can be easily repaired. Take the back off, find the giant silver capacitor, and check it. I'd bet money that's your problem. Google how to test a capacitor. If you get continuity thru it, its bad. Of course you don't own, much less understand, what a volt/ohmeter is so we'll move on. (But it is that capacitor btw. $20 fix)

Taking the whole thing out isn't hard. In the floor of the shelf above it you'll find two screws that are clos to the forward side of the cabinet. Remove them while supporting the forward weight of the MW. Then, dip the front down just a tad, and push up in the back. There's a wall mount you can't see that the back part of the MW slides down and into. You have to push it up a 1/2 inch or so. After that, you're holding the whole thing.

Take it apart and replace that cap.... or.... spend a whopping $179 at "Wally World" online .... measure first, but its a standard size.... and it will be delivered by Monday at the latest.

That wall mounted bracket,,,, the new one will come with one, but they're pretty universal, so no need to replace the one you already have. It is pretty easy. for real.

~Stocks, options, up markets, down markets, short, long, and even the bourgeoisie problems regarding the kitchen appliances of the wannabe "but we'll never get there" NYC lackey's... VZ of course has all the answers. :p

I would love to do this myself-- is the cap on the microwave or in the outlet?
