A penny is 97.5% Zinc and 2.5% copper.

There are 364,000 pennies in a ton. $3640
That's a $424 (10% !!!) arbitrage. More because copper (2.5%) is at $10,500/ton.

TDOC still a very High PT

Teladoc price target lowered to $104 from $108 at Piper Sandler 05:57 TDOC Piper Sandler analyst Jessica Tassan lowered the firm's price target on Teladoc to $104 from $108 and reiterates an Overweight rating on the shares. The analyst moderated future growth and margin expansion assumptions following the company's Q4 results.

Don't believe what the TV shows you on the news. I feel terrible for the civilians suffering but that is only some of the story. Where the press don't have eyes I do... Russia is getting it's bloody ass kicked! Apart from the obvious sanctions and what not Russia haslost something it can hardly get back-- It's repuatation as a fighting force. Privately I am being told they are pathetic. They are demoralized they stumble into checkpoints and give themselves up and they have MRI's ready to eat that are dated 2002!

The longer this drags out the more Russian hardware will be blown up. The more soldiers will run into the woods crying for their Putin.

What does this mean.? Surrounding countries that have been fearful of Russia are now emboldened, previously afraid to request anti air missile defense systems from the Us and the US equally afraid to grant the request back door channels are now " wide Open " ... " ask and you will receive" one source told me.

So lets take a step back and realize how much Russia has screwed up here.
Economy in crumbles. All western style goodies no longer sold into country.. No Netflix...
No Este Lauder for the fine skin of Russian women, no fancy clothes to get dressed up in; only Russian designers now! Of which they are none worth wearing.

No money in country. A devalued Ruble. Only Oil and gas deals with China basically...

China will now buy into Russia Oil and Gas at a great price.... <-- How we deal a blow to China is unclear. How the oil gets from Russia to China is unclear.

Worst for Russia is all the military equipment they kept out of surrounding countries allthese years by flexing... it's all coming in.

What is really amazing is how fast the US got the military equipment into Poland and other countries.. Everything had been pre staged and the delivery time completely caught the Russians off guard. An earlier DOD request for such munitions had still not been acted on when Biden got all these new anti tank goodies over there... it was a matter of days not months.

Now Ukraine is running out of AIRPLANES...

What to do. There has been some talk of allowing other fighters to fly planes in various ways, this is all still being worked out... For example over 100 special forces (ex) Battalion leaders and heads of anti terror squads- really big deal dudes from Israel are over in Ukraine already. They have gone on their own to lead. There are many fighter pilots from many countries who would do the same. So the US is looking into how to get airplanes from Poland and elsewhere in the air under Ukrainian colors but piloted by volunteers.

There is also a second plan more complex that has the UN stepping up Not NATO and providing
a Russia free airspace.

What is this in danger of turning into? Russia soldiers are so pathetic Putin is turning to Syria for help their fighters are very good at City warfare. If enough Syrians join the fight obviously they will be leaving their home front somewhat unguarded - so our CIA can help the rebels there... for sure.. But with thousands of foreign fighters coming in country to aid Ukraine and thousands coming in from far flung places to fight on Russia's behalf... Ukraine becomes a fighting zone without the two main fighters... it could be real bloody. So that's what we have to avoid if we can.

The best estimate is Russia has lost 4,000 men and counting....

  • The company expects to record a gain from the sales of approximately $9.6M in 2Q22.
  • Aggregate net cash proceeds of approximately $30.7M are expected to be received in 2Q22 after delivery of vessels.
  • Over the past 15 months, the company has sold seven older Panamax vessels, generating aggregate net cash proceeds of around $60M.
  • Ulrik Andersen, CEO of Golden Ocean Management AS commented:“Golden Ocean continues to grow and modernise its fleet to ensure the Company maintains the most competitive, flexible and future-proof operating platform. From mid-next year, the company will start to take delivery of seven Kamsarmax vessels currently under construction in China. The net effect is a more fuel-efficient fleet with greater carrying capacity and earnings potential.”

Lithium names fell in Monday's trading after Chile's constituent assembly, in charge of writing the country's new Constitution, approved an early-stage proposal that would open the door to nationalizing some of the world's biggest copper and lithium mines, Mining.com reports.

SQM started the day at a 52-week high but closed-7.8%; alsoLIT-5.1%,ALB-3.9%,LAC-3.9%,LTHM-2.3%; among copper stocks,FCX-5.9%,SCCO-3%.

The motion by the environmental committee, which met over the weekend for the first time, received 13 votes in favor with three against and three abstentions.

STOCK OF THE DAY- VALE

Vale (VALE+2.2%) was on the rise yesterday despite a broadly down day for stocks, including global mining peers Rio Tinto (RIO-2.8%) and BHP (BHP-1%), and exploding nickel prices appears to be the reason, according to Bloomberg.

Vale gets most of its earnings from iron ore, but it is also one of the world's biggest producers of nickel, which accounted for 6% of its 2021 revenues, both those percentages will change and Vale's earnings would enjoy a big jolt if nickel's recent rise holds up; the metal skyrocketed more than 60% in London over the weekend, and prices have doubled in the past five trading days on rising worries over Russian supplies.

"We are not arguing nickel prices are sustainable at current levels, but we reiterate our call that Vale's base metals unit is poorly priced-in and can offer relevant upside potential for investors ahead," BTG Pactual analysts say. "The nickel price rally could be another source of earnings upgrades for Vale, which we believe is undervalued."

NEE is a company/ Utility we quite like.

NextEra Energy (NEE+4.6%)surges to its highest level since mid-January after KeyBanc upgrades shares to Overweight from SectorWeight with an $87 price target, saying the stock "remains an attractive combination of a single-state utility with attractive growth prospects and a premium clean energy developer" after falling 14% YTD.

"With global energy prices surging due to the conflict in Europe, we believe NextEra presents an attractive play on strength in energy markets," KeyBanc's Sophie Karp writes. "This positive macro backdrop, ongoing strong execution at the company level, and an attractive valuation entry point compared to historical levels create... the right moment to own NEE."
