I'm going to take you through some thinking.

IMO-> Imperial Oil.

Imperial Oil (IMO) is a Canadian integrated oil company and one of the largest in Canada with a market capitalization of more than $30 billion. The company is almost 70% owned by Exxon Mobil (XOM) making up ~6% of Exxon Mobil's enterprise value.

I find that interesting. 70% is quite a bit you don't walk away from that you buy the rest.....
 
IMO currently $6 over it's 50 day.

  • Mexico is technically in a recession now, though the export-driven industrial sector has continued to grow, and the government's mishandling of the economy remains an important concern.
  • Import substitution remains an important part of the Ternium growth story, and I would expect management to look to add more value-added lines at Pesqueria.
  • Ternium shares look meaningfully undervalued now, but steel stocks often lag while steel prices are declining, so be aware of the value trap risk here.
 
USAP generates around 60% of revenue from the aerospace market, the backlog is growing, and management is looking to add two more VIM furnaces to increase its premium alloy capacity.

The company also manufactures high-performance specialty alloy-based materials and process solutions for a wide range of industries, including medical, industrial, transportation, aerospace, defense, energy, and consumer end-use markets.

The company's operations are divided into two main segments, Specialty Alloys Operations (SAO) and Performance Engineered Products (PEP). In the SAO segment, the company performs premium alloy and stainless steel manufacturing operations. On the other hand, the PEP segment includes differentiated operations, including the Dynamet titanium business, the Carpenter Additive business, and the Latrobe and Mexico distribution businesses.

So we do have Mexican exposure BUT look at those other key materials.... nickel, cobalt these all sound like stuff Russia churns out or used to.

The reality is, oil is doing one last u-rah until Ukraine is over.
Then the world goes green, and assets like this weigh down a company's portfolio.

Know why BP hasn't enjoyed this rally?
Because they have totally reworked the company to go green.
Over 125,000 charging stations now. Super-chargers.

BP will be another "Putin's gone" stock to buy.

See, my pre-market work is more than just 38% winners. :cool:
 
long-term opportunities from some of Carpenter’s newer product offerings, particularly soft magnetics, sensors, and additive manufacturing. Soft magnetics will see increasing demand from applications like EV motors (and other high-efficiency motors), and sensor demand should pick up on increased factory and warehouse automation, as well as smartphones. Additive manufacturing remains more of a long-term opportunity, though it has already made a noticeable impact in the med-tech space (ortho and spinal implants).
