How stupid is this. In Russia you cannot say this is a war. But if a no fly zone is peacefully created -- that's what war is...
Probably screwed up, but she should be allowed to leave. Obviously that's not gonna happen now, they have a relatively high profile hostage.
You do understand a no-fly zone means NATO jets would be required to engage Russian jets over the designated area. That's war.
Well there is no war by Russia's own standard so NATO can fly where they want. If Russia fighters engage we shoot down. It's pretty simple.
By drawing fire and wiping out anti air defenses NATO extends the timeline by a long time.
I agree that Russia can't take the humiliation a no fly zone would create so we re word it in Russian fashion call it a "Threat Deterrent" or "Safety Zone"
