As a general rule of thumb Stoney, it's probably not good to buy any high fliers the day the vix is nipping at 30 and Russia's invading a neighboring sovereign nation.

@vanzandt Do you mind elaborate please, I am not in that trade but I want to understand if the VIX is at almost 30 and that stock is going higher, for me, it means hypothetically speaking that if the VIX comes down to 20 lets say the tide will go up as you said and it will bring that stock higher,

Yeaaaaaah.... but it's risky though. If tanks start lobbing rounds on Kiev, that friggin vix could spike north of 50. In theory you're right though.
