GBA Presents: THE GREEN MARKET

LVMH ADD Here<----- $155 IRA Stk************

As the largest luxury goods company in the world, LVMH is a promising investment for three simple reasons. First, it's resistant to inflation because it can easily pass on its higher costs to its high-end customers.

Second, its portfolio is broadly diversified across 75 different houses in six distinct sectors. Its fashion and leather goods portfolio -- which includes Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi, Loewe, Marc Jacobs, and other high-end brands -- usually does most of the heavy lifting, but it also sells luxury watches, jewelry (including Tiffany & Co.), fragrances, wines, and spirits. It also owns Sephora, DFS, and other high-end brick-and-mortar retailers.

That diversification shields LVMH from any industry-specific downturns. As long as well-heeled customers are willing to spend thousands of dollars on luxury goods and status symbols, it will generate consistent growth.

Lastly, its stock is reasonably valued relative to its growth. LVMH's revenue fell 17% in 2020 as the pandemic disrupted its retail sales, but it jumped 44% in 2021 as businesses reopened. Analysts expect that momentum to continue this year, forecasting revenue and EPS growth of 13% and 10%, respectively.

Based on those estimates, LVMH trades at about 26 times forward earnings. Its rival Hermes, which is growing at a similar rate but relies less on acquisitions, trades at nearly 50 times forward earnings. LVMH also pays a dividend yield of about 1% while Hermes pays a much lower forward yield of 0.4%. Investors would do well to consider the shares.

Thoughts on the LUXE ETF and OODO(Leisure) after Van mentioned the index. I feel like a lazy POS, just woke up! Too much LVMH bubbly!

Thoughts from the real world--

They are no houses to buy and no cars to buy... what does this mean?

COPART IS INTERESTING THEY DO WRECKS AND REAL POS CARS. So on the one hand people are going to start to have to go to Copart and buy a accident car-- they have to. On the other hand people are doing everything they can to keep their clunkers on the road due to high prices for replacements. Less for CPRT...

Autozone's Earnings report was crazy... fully 3/4 of all new cars are PRE SOLD<----- Never Before!! Maybe you just buy AZO?

Wonder if Mercedes Benz is a buy?

Another great story-- This is straight out of an Ozarks' episode.-

TC Energy's (TRP-0.5%) Coastal GasLink pipeline work site in northern British Columbia reportedly was attacked by assailants armedwith axes and flare guns who threatened workers and caused millions of dollars in damage.

Coastal GasLink said ~20 masked attackers wearing camouflage surrounded the worksite and attacked workers early Thursday morning in a "highly planned" and "unprovoked" assault.

The 420-mile natural gas pipeline project, built to supply the planned LNG Canada liquefied natural gas project, has been the target of protests and opposition in Canada.

TC Energy said during its Q3 earnings release that it expects costs for the Coastal GasLink project will increase "significantly" and completion will be delayed.

Man Biden seems to be really handling Putin. I'm surprised. Joe maybe not so good on the home front but vs Russia geeze. The old Joe comes out.
I love the way we are releasing the reports than normally we do not. Putin seems confused.

Can you imagine if Trump was around? Putin would be in that country deep. Instead some mythical refugees are moving to Russia.
