Aflac price target raised to $67 from $60 at Raymond James 07:55 AFL Raymond James analyst C. Gregory Peters raised the firm's price target on Aflac to $67 from $60 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares. The stock is up 11% on a year-to-date basis due in part to the expectation of higher interest rates and the positive impact on future NII growth, and going forward, Peters expects a slow but gradual recovery of new sales in Japan and in the U.S., the analyst tells investors in a research note.
Marqeta can remove top overhang by extending Block, says Mizuho 06:43 MQ, SQ Mizuho analyst Dan Dolev lowered the firm's price target on Marqeta (MQ) to $17 from $20 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. Block (SQ) accounts for about 70% of Marqeta's sales and the agreement with the company begins to expire in March 2024, Dolev tells investors in a research note. The analyst says his been the number one drag on the stock. He believes preemptively extending the duration of the contract by several years could help alleviate this concern, taking the "SQ going in-house" risk off the table. While this would likely be accompanied by a pricing concession by Marqeta, removing the overhang may result in a "substantial re-rating of the multiple, likely more than offsetting the drag on sales," contends Dolev.

Susquehanna upgrades potential buyout target Power Integrations to Positive 07:46 POWI Susquehanna analyst Christopher Rolland upgraded Power Integrations to Positive from Neutral with a price target of $100, up from $95. The company's fundamentals have "outperformed considerably" this cycle and are less vulnerable to over-ordering risks, Rolland tells investors in a research note. In addition, the analyst no longer views valuation as a "considerable risk" for the semiconductor sector following the recent selloff. Rolland also sees Power Integrations as a potential takeout target saying its $4 of earnings per share is worth closer to $5.50 for an acquirer. Strategically, the company's "strong" catalog, growth products and fabless manufacturing increase its attractiveness, contends the analyst.

Craig-Hallum bullish on Zeta Global, initiates with a Buy 08:54 ZETA, GOOG, GOOGL, AAPL As previously reported, Craig-Hallum analyst Jason Kreyer initiated coverage of Zeta Global (ZETA) with a Buy rating and $14 price target. The analyst notes that Zeta's shares immediately broke their $10 IPO price in June on the basis of broad investor confusion. He believes Zeta was perceived to be negatively impacted by Google's (GOOGL) decision to delay 3P cookie deprecation, a fear that was exacerbated by Q3 marketer woes following Apple's (AAPL) elimination of mobile IDs. Importantly, Zeta's ID graph doesn't utilize cookies or mobile IDs as inputs, and it is the analyst's belief that it is a beneficiary of its trove of 1P data assets which marketers can use for advanced consumer targeting. Further, Kreyer points out that despite solidly positive fundamental revisions, this vertical software company trades at just 3-times EV/Sales while posting about 20% growth rates. With a peer group trading at 4-11-times EV/Sales, he sees fundamentals and valuations improving over time.
