GBA Presents: THE GREEN MARKET

LVMHY had a huge earnings report and was up 5% overseas and lost the gain entirely.///

Today is the day to get in.>>>>>>>>>

This is super annoying Oscar Health crowing about their premium raises of which I have been a victim.

Maybe there can be some revenge here as Oscar sells for all of $5-

OSCR-$5.78 Gummy Of The Day

Oscar Health sees FY22 premiums growth more than 80% at midpoint 16:08 OSCR Oscar Health issued 2022 guidance reflecting significant growth for its business with premiums expected to increase more than 80% YoY at the midpoint. In conjunction with guidance, the Company also announced a $305 million convertible notes transaction to strengthen the balance sheet and provide strong liquidity to support the growth of the organization. "Oscar has seen more than 70% annual premium growth, on average, over the past 5 years, demonstrating that our exceptional member experience is resonating with new and existing members alike," said Mario Schlosser, CEO and co-founder at Oscar. "We are honored to welcome our new members and serve the more than one million individuals across the country who are trusting us with their healthcare." For full year 2022, Oscar projects premiums will increase to $6.1 billion - $6.4 billion, a YoY increase of roughly 80% at the midpoint. The Company is also projecting an Adjusted EBITDA loss of ($380) million to ($480) million, which reflects both improving MLR and administrative expense ratios YoY. Finally, the Company is introducing a new key performance indicator, the Adjusted Administrative Expense Ratio, which includes insurance and technology related expenses, as well as other corporate expenses. The Company believes this additional metric provides greater visibility into its overall path to profitability.

I've gotten a couple pf emails about this one. Part of me feels like this is a multi-bagger that we got lucky with and secured at a very low price.

Part of me feels like we should just take the buck.

Here is what Alger Spectra Fund has to say about Marqeta, Inc. in its Q4 2021 investor letter:

"Margeta facilitates the implementation of digital payment technologies. It is a Positive Dynamic Change beneficiary in the digital payments industry. We believe as more commerce is conducted digitally, the digitization and transformation of the payments ecosystem is needed, which Margeta seeks to address through its modern payment card issuing platform, providing infrastructure and tools for building configurable payment cards. Margeta offers issuer processor services and acts as a card program manager. Its platform creates customized payment cards that provide innovative payment experiences for their clients’ customers and end users.

Marqeta has emerged as a card issuing platform category leader in many disruptive verticals, including on-demand delivery, alternative lending, expense management, disbursement, digital remittances, and digital banks. Margeta’s solutions are even sought out by large financial institutions to improve their existing offerings and stay competitive with technology-focused new market entrants. Margeta detracted from performance despite achieving strong revenue growth with higher gross profitability and an expanded customer base in the third quarter. We believe the expiration of a lock up period and the company facing tough comparisons resulting from COVID-19 stimulus payments having boosted consumer spending contributed to the underperformance of Marqeta shares. Additionally, the still small footprints within the Margeta revenue base of crypto, truck brokerage and business-to-business clients may take time to scale."

Word of note. My wife is friends with a member of the Alger family so we lend heavy credence to their views.

A question of when....

Timeline of a Buy---

A---Luminar named a top pick for 2022 at Northland 12/28 LAZR, INTC, NVDA Northland analyst Gus Richard named Luminar (LAZR) a top pick for 2022, citing his view that the company is "leading the automotive lidar race" and contention that it will "likely be the only company in a production vehicle next year." Luminar is working with the two "leading merchant chip companies," as it is partnering with Intel's (INTC) Mobileye and it is in Nvidia's (NVDA) reference design, said Richard, who also thinks it is likely the company will announce a new production nomination at the upcoming CES meeting. Richard keeps an Outperform rating and $38 price target on Luminar shares.

B---Luminar, Volvo Cars announce plans for next gen SUV to be revealed in 2022 01/05 LAZR Luminar and Volvo Cars revealed at CES in Las Vegas the launch plans for the all electric next generation SUV. "Luminar's vision is to democratize next-generation safety and autonomy, and we're already seeing this become a reality with the first vehicle launching on Volvo's new platform," said Austin Russell, Founder and CEO. "With Luminar as standard on every vehicle, their next SUV has the opportunity to be the safest vehicle ever produced, while also being the first to enable true autonomy and at highway speed." The first introduction of Volvo Cars' Ride Pilot, an unsupervised autonomous driving capability for highways, will be introduced to customers in the state of California first once it has been verified as safe for use and planned to be available as an add-on subscription, the companies said in a statement. As part of this verification process, Volvo Cars has applied for a testing permit with the California Department of Transportation and intends to begin testing on highways in the middle of the year.

C----Mercedes-Benz passenger cars a 'major win' for Luminar, says Northland 01/21 LAZR, NVDA, INTC, DDAIF Northland analyst Gus Richard reiterates his Outperform rating on Luminar Technologies (LAZR) after the company announced a partnership with Mercedes-Benz (DDAIF) to accelerate development of future automated driving technologies for passenger cars, calling the deal "a major commercial win for Luminar." Given reference designs at Nvidia (NVDA), a partnership with Intel's (INTC) Mobileye, the first production cars with Lidar in 2022 and now Mercedes' passenger car win, it is "difficult to dispute" that Luminar is "the Lidar Leader," argues Richard.

D---Jefferies starts 'emerging LiDAR leader' Luminar at Buy 07:09 LAZR As previously reported, Jefferies analyst David Kelley initiated coverage of Luminar with a Buy rating and $20 price target. He estimates Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, or ADAS, penetration has expanded from 6% in 2016 to 39% in 2021 and believes Level 2 and on-highway autonomous are poised to drive the next leg of secular growth. Underlying systems require incremental cameras as well as likely LiDAR implementation for on-highway autonomous, said Kelley, who views Luminar as "an emerging LiDAR leader" supported by a strong commercial customer and partner list. He sees the company having a roadmap to scaled series production and "likely market share leadership in autos," added the analyst.
